My experience with Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis, particularly with Timothy and Jon ********, was frustrating from start to finish. After they reached out to me this fall, knowing I live in Wisconsin and had pre-approval from my bank, I proceeded with the sale. They pressured me into placing a deposit over the phone, despite knowing I was out of the country for two weeks. After agreeing to the sale, they made invasive requests, including asking me to take a selfie while holding my ID. I’ve never had to do this when purchasing a vehicle before, and I’m not sure if this was standard practice for everyone or if it was because I’m an immigrant. Despite my reservations, I complied. Then, despite not financing through them, they also requested my Social Security number for “identity verification,” which I reluctantly provided. At one point, they informed me that my business LLC in Wisconsin had gone out of status due to a missed annual report filing—a situation I was unaware of. The LLC had only gone out of status on 10/14, but I immediately took steps to fix it and reinstate the business. Timothy/Jon reassured me that once the LLC was reinstated, everything would be good, and he promised not to cancel the sale. However, after I reinstated the LLC, they suddenly claimed they couldn’t proceed with the sale due to their “internal policy,” despite everything being in order. Even worse, they became unresponsive—calls were not returned, voicemails were ignored, and my messages went unanswered. It felt like they were simply looking for excuses to back out of the deal, despite assuring me earlier that everything would be fine once the business was reinstated. In the end, I felt disrespected and dismissed. This is not the level of professionalism or transparency I would expect from a luxury dealership. I cannot recommend Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis to anyone looking for a smooth, professional, or respectful buying experience.
