    I have a 2017 Ranger ****ms with a 150 HP Evinrude G2 motor. I purchased the boat with the motor in 2017, and the motor included a 10 year Evinrude warranty when I purchased it.I have had warranty work before at Duanes Marine with this specific motor (replacement of lower unit). This was a couple of years ago. Overall, during that experience, the front desk guy was rude (tank top guy with longer hair). He is very unfriendly, doesn't smile, asks what you want in a rude manner, etc. All that said, I was happy with the service because they replaced the lower unit, it was covered under the warranty, and I am satisfied with the work on the motor.Fast forward to November 12th, 2021. About three weeks prior to 11/12, my trim/tilt stopped working on my motor, and my Evinrude gauges stopped working. I attempted to troubleshoot on my own, did not locate any blown fuses, it seemed that it was an issue within the motor as all other wired accessories forward of the motor worked fine. I contacted ******* Marine to have them look at it and explained the issues I was having. I told him I could drop the boat off and they could get to it when they had time. The guy on the phone told me that they don't store boats to get to it on there time, and I would need to make appointment to have it worked on that specific day. The guy on the phone made an appointment for me on 11/12. I asked the guy on the phone that if it ended up being a motor issue, would they honor the warranty work. He said that they would.I drove 120 miles in a snowstorm to pull my boat to *******. Of note, there are no shops that work on Evinrude's in the ******, ** area. Upon arrival, I noticed it was the same guy working the front desk from two years prior (tank top and long hair). He stared at his computer for about 5 minutes before acknowledging me, even though I was the only customer in the business. He asked me what I wanted (no smile, not a pleasant person to interact with). I told him I was there to drop off my boat, gave him my name. He began to fill out the work order. He then told me that they are very busy, he only has one mechanic, so was not sure if they would get to it that day. I said that was fine. A couple of minutes later the mechanic came to the desk. He was an older gentlemen, probably in his 50s/60s. I'm unsure if he owns the place, but that is the impression I got. I explained to the mechanic my issues with the boat (trim/tilt, gauges inoperable). I asked him if it ended up being something with the motor, if the my warranty would cover it. The mechanic shook his head and told me he's not wasting his time with Evinrude warranty work. He told me he doesn't have time for that and said that he has had bad luck with Evinrude, indicating that they don't pay by the hour. He told me he wouldn't make any money on this. I explained to him that I have had warranty work done by ******* in the past. He asked what it was. I told him the lower unit. He told me lower units are easy, you just replace it, and there is no troubleshooting involved, which is why they did the warranty work. The mechanic then proceeded to tell me that he also hates working on Ranger's because the wiring is in tight spaces. He ended with telling me that he would take a look at it, but did not sound confident at all in fixing the boat. A few hours later, I received a call in which I was told that they couldn't get their computer to connect with the motor, they spent an hour on the phone with BRP, were told to locate a specific fuse, but that they could not find the fuse and gave up. They told me to come pick up my boat.I give ******* Marine two stars instead of one because they did not charge me for the minimal effort they put in, other than that, what a waste of a time this place is.I write very few reviews on ******* the ones that I have, are usually outstanding, but I had to write this up because it was probably the worst customer experience I have ever had.
