Statewide Waterproofing installed a sump pump with a backup battery and 30 feet of internal drainage at my house around Dec 16th of 2023. From the beginning the backup battery would go off and beep at inappropriate times every couple of weeks and I would have to silence it. Around April I noticed that the lights that were normal on the backup battery were not on anymore. So I called the owner and expressed my concern to him that my backup battery was not operating correctly. He talked to me like I was absolutely stupid and just didn't know how it was supposed to work and asked me if I had unplugged it. I told him that it had been plugged in the entire time that I had not bothered it in anyway since he'd left. He agreed to come and look at it told me he'd come by in a couple days. A couple weeks go by and he never came by so I called him back. He apologized and said that he had left his notebook that he wrote my address on at a customers house. He came by the next day and determined that the battery was completely dead. He replaced it with one he had in his truck and noted that a plug that is supposed to charge the battery might be missing. He left and the same problem continued. Every couple weeks at inappropriate times (when it hadn't rained in weeks and when the power was on) the alarm would sound and within another couple months the new battery died again. I called him again on July 10th and told him the same thing was happening. He again said ok I'll come out in a couple days and never showed. I called again to remind him on July 22nd. He had another excuse as to why he didn't come by and said he could come tomorow (July 23rd @11) I called him an hour before to confirm and he had to cancel. He said he could run the cord by on his way to an appointment though. When I got home that evening I plugged in the cord he had left and it still did not fix the problem. I understand that a backup battery is not completely needed but I did pay extra money for it.
