I had the most disrespectful, aggressive and sexist experience with ***** ***** over the last 8+ months. It took him 3-4 months to even look at my roof to give me an estimate. He quoted me $28,000 + tax in Feb 2024 then told me to call in April to schedule a date for May. When I contacted him in April he was rude about wanting to schedule a ballpark week so I could plan my travel around the installation. He simply stopped responding to my texts until all of a sudden YESTERDAY (May 20th) it became extremely urgent for him to do it with LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE. I was visiting my mother who is 80 for the weekend and heading back to MS when he texted me at 7:21am to give him $15,000, he flippantly said he would do another job instead of mine. I rushed back and told him I would be ready this morning to do it and he said anytime after 7am. I had to call my bank to transfer the funds from a CD which ended up taking 25 min on the phone so I was later than the time I had suggested tho he had never confirmed what time. When I got there to sign the contract he had chosen an industrial galvanized metal instead of GIVING ME A CHOICE of what color to put on the roof. He tried to lie and say I "changed my mind on the color" after admitting that he "assumed I wanted the color that was already on my roof." The color of my roof is the worn tin from 1910! Why would I want to put unpainted metal on a Victorian house? When I showed I was upset that he had chosen a color for me, he told me he was going to charge me another $4-5,000 dollars FOR HIS MISTAKE. I said I wished he had asked me in February and he responded with, then we're not going to do the job. I am a single woman and I felt his attitude from the beginning was not wanting to work with me because of that. When I got up to leave I slammed the door behind me and he ran out after me and threatened me. Please go with another roofing company that will make you feel like a valued customer and not a burden they want to get rid of.
