I bought a home with 'newer looking' ******** windowd throughout. One tilt latch broke and I applied for replacement online under warranty replacement 3 times. They go back and forth asking for serial numbers and more that were not on my **********************. I did send them a pic of window with the ******** logo engraved in them. I tried getting their attention by emailing, ******** messaging twice and calling (forget that, you will never reach a live person) without any luck. I will make sure to never buy this company's products.Cornerstone Building Brands Response

My home was built in 2016 with ******** Windows. For the first several years their warranty support was superior. Parts needed were shipped quickly and customer service was ********************. They had to send a contractor out to fix all my D/H window balances because they were not installed right at the factory. Yikes, Quality control issues??? Since ***************************************** service. Weeks or even months to get replacement parts. They seem to have added ****** expensive shipping and handling which is way more than other parts suppliers. Seems they are not making it worth the effort to submit a claim. Maybe if they could get their act together and go back to their past performance then we might reconsider our rating. BBB seems way off the mark **** as t**** does not seem to be anything but negative reviews. I would avoid ******** in the future.Review from Jessica T

Horrible customer service. I contacted this company for a locking mechanism replacement on my sliding door which is still under warranty. The door is less than 2 years old. You cannot contact this company by phone, email is the only option. It took over 3 weeks for them to respond to my request to replace this part under the warranty which they proceeded to tell me that I had to pay $15.00 shipping for the replacement part which is more expensive than if I bought the part on amazon myself. Horrible customer service and low-quality **********************.Review from Katie B

We built a new semi-custom home in North ******* with a very reputable local home builder, 5 years ago. Installed in our home are PlyGem windows. Our home builder is synonymous with "energy efficiency" and even advertises a chocolate bunny in the attics of their homes, which will stay cool in the hot Florida summer months. Being a Florida native (born and raised in **), I know how brutal the hot ******* can be, especially for our homes (roofs, siding, exterior paint, etc.). Our last home, which we also built, using a known nationwide homebuilder was 15 years old when we moved. AC was still original, roof original and also ALL windows. Never once did we have any issues with our windows. Flash forward to our NEW "energy efficient" home, we assumed that being 15 years newer than our previous, we could expect a great efficiency from our homes windows and doors. NOPE. Since moving in (year 1), we have replaced THREE sets of windows (4-5 at a time). I am very persnickety about having our home windows cleaned after pollen season and use a professional to come out annually to do a proper cleaning. After each visit, my window cleaner has pointed out numerous windows that have failed, due to the inner film between the panes, failing. He explains, because our home gets full sun all day long, the ** protective coating begins to etch, bubble and become hazy, causing the window to appear to have a cloudy effect. Explain to me WHY this is happening? Even in our previous, builder grade home, we did not experience anything of this nature. We have since not only had to request new windows from PlyGem, which by the way is an act of God to receive, but we also have to pay someone to come out and professionally install. Shouldn't technology IMPROVE over time? PlyGem, your quality control is atrocious at best. How disappointing to know that after my 5 year warranty expires, I will have to pay $500-1000 per window to replace. PlyGem, your product is crap! Do better.Review from Barry W

Our house had a fire in 2019. In 2020 we had the contractor get a sliding door from Lowes. It was an Atrium sliding vinyl door. What a piece of c*** The rollers broke and no longer work. The warranty is c*** We can't fix it ourselves. They were going to ship us parts to fix it ourselves. Free parts but $20 to ship. (WHAT A CROCK!)If you are looking for quality replacement doors and windows, I would suggest looking elsewhere and do some research. Atrium *********************************************** would be the last place to look!Review from Sarah B

We have had them out 7 times because they cannot get the right grids in the right location in the right color. Don't know how they can run a business like this. This is the first time Consumer Reports was way off. Please look to other companies for your windows.
