      I ordered and paid a deposit with ****** factory for a carport. Apparently they use Carolina Carport for the install's. I wish I had known that in the beginning as I would have known to check their reviews as well as ******. I understand that they have busy schedules and weather permits only so much, but I missed 4 days of work waiting on "No call/No Show" scheduled deliveries. Finally, after getting frustrated, I cancelled my order and did receive my deposit back. Fast forward two weeks.. I come home from work to a carport that looked like a 5 year old put up, my landscaping bricks used to hold the carport up and a flat tire from the materials left in my driveway. I called them the next day and all they wanted to talk about was coming to remove the structure... I even agreed to let them come back out and repair/reposition the carport so that it wouldn't extend right across my doorway.. STILL NO CALL/ NO SHOW (another day of work missed) .This is the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. They are rude, very unprofessional and only make excuses instead of offering solutions to their mistakes. Recap.. I cancelled an order after missing 4 days of work, carport was placed very poorly without my consent, used my landscaping to secure the structure, caused a flat tire due to debris left behind and missed an additional day of work for them to repair although they didn't show and I was basically called a thief by the **************** manager because I will not allow them on my property without calling law enforcement until a PROFESSIONAL company is paid to fix my driveway that was damaged by them. According to the reviews this company has a history of dishonesty, poor work and horrible customer service. Please make sure you check this company out completely before using them!!!

      Thank you for taking the time to relay your concerns. I have researched your interactions with our team to date by reviewing notes and recorded calls. In regards to rescheduling, our contract is specific that delays can take place due to circumstances beyond our control. We apologize if this impacted your personal schedule but we do not require that you be on site for install. We do allow the corners to be marked. At all times, calls were made ahead of the schedule date to advise of updates. On August 14th, during install, your son was on site. He instructed the contractor where to place the unit and signed the completed invoice. After install, you contact CCI to advise that you had a damaged tire, the unit was in the wrong place and you were not happy about the anchoring. The unit was placed where instructed, the unit is anchored to the concrete which was the foundation provided and we requested a quote for the tire damage so that we could properly address that. We also requested photos of any concerns you had with the unit as we are committed to making sure the unit is installed properly. To date, we have received 1 small photo of the unit which did not indicate the concerns noted. We have received no quotes or proof of tire damage. On August 29th we called to follow up and again request the info needed to assist. We also called to collect the balance as the terms are COD with a 1 year warranty so the account is past due. On September 3rd we attempted to contact again. On September 6th, you returned the call. We offered to move the unit as a courtesy although it was placed as instructed, we offered to fill any holes that the moving of the unit would cause and we again requested info regarding the tires. If you were not interested in moving the unit then we offered to pick it up since it has not been paid for. We dispatched the crew for pick up on October 7th due to non response and non payment. You told the contractor that day that you would have him arrested. We have offered to move the unit as a courtesy, fill holes that wouldn't exist had the crew not been told to place the unit in the wrong location and have offered to address the tire with proof of damage. At this time, we will be pursuing the payment and/or repossession through collections/legal remedies since you have made demands but have also refused access to the site. if you would like to discuss further, you are welcome to reach out to me directly.

      The statements in this response are untrue and very contradicting. I do not see one time in your statement that my order was CANCELLED almost two weeks prior to the install that was NOT supposed to be done. I sent numerous photos and responded every time you reached out. I will not waste anymore time going back and forth when the truth speaks for itself, you have numerous reviews with the same issues. I only hope that customers considering this company read the reviews and are aware of the unprofessional, condescending and rude people they are dealing with before getting unwillingly involved in such chaos. Had I read this completely false response before the last contractor actually listened, understood as well as seen my concerns you could have taken me to court as I INSTRUCTED you to do in our last conversation prior to you sending another crew to my house without consent.

      I have used Carolina Carports two times now and have been satisfied with their support. Carolina Carports installed a simple carport for me in 2015 and the process was very smooth. More recently in Fall of 2024, Carolina Carports extended and enclosed my carport, adding a window, walk-in door, and a garage door. There was a minor hiccup or misunderstanding where the contractor installed the wrong building anchors and the structure failed my county inspection. Carolina Carport's reaction to the matter was swift -- they immediately shifted into action to correct the situation and alleviate any anxiety I had.

      Im.happy with .y garage, but they didn't use as much material as quoted and I can't seem to get a refund. They tell me it's in the mail but that's almost 2 months ago!

      We appreciate you reaching out and are pleased to hear that you are enjoying your unit. I see that a check was cut on 6/13/24 for the refund. You spoke with ****** in our receivables department on 6/24/24. She indicated to give it a couple more days and let us know if it was not received. She has not received any further communication from you. We will reach out to our bank today to confirm that the check has not been cashed. If not, we will issue a stop payment on that check and reissue a new check.

      I am starting to believe all the reviews on carolina carports. Ordered a building around 4 years ago got through that one with minimal problems other than rude customer service and no "Communication" at all.Fast forward to now, i have my own small buisness that i run out of that little shop i purchased from them, i went back to the dealer to have an addition built on to my current shop. No other company will connect to it. So we went through C.C. again and now going on 2 months ive called they said i had no lead time and pretty much was not a priority. So i went back and changed the order and added 1000$ worth to get lead time. I give them a call to check on the status now and they say additions get no lead time. What a joke. Im just a small mechanic shop trying to make a living and they are not trying to help my situation by not talking to me to at least let me know whats going on. If they dont start treating people better their buisness will be affected.

      We appreciate you reaching out and sharing your concerns. CCI is one of the only companies in the metal building industry that allows additions to structures after the original unit is in place. We do choose to offer this option to our customers with the understanding that additions do not have estimated or guaranteed lead times. All dealers are aware of this and should pass that information along at the time of ordering. I am unsure how adding $1000 to the order would have assisted in this situation as the dollar amount ordered is not the factor here. Many times additions take longer to complete on site than a new build. This becomes a larger concern if the customer has made alterations to the original unit. The contractors typically do not work on one another's structures so we have to balance the original crews work that is already in progress with the addition that will likely take longer. The crews are usually booked in advance. We do very much appreciate your business and I apologize if the dealer did not explain the entire addition process. I have alerted the customer service manager for this area so that, if possible, they can assist in expediting this for you.

      One of the worst companies I have dealt with in my entire life. From them not showing up, being snotty and rude on the phone, and just not fulfilling their obligations, I will never give them a ***** of my money ever again. If you like being jerked around and lied to or being treated rudely, they are the company for you. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and headache and buy from someone else! I just wish I could give less than 1 star!

      I have taken the opportunity to review the notes, recorded phone calls and information regarding this account. The crew arrived on time at the site. They were unable to get up the driveway due to the steepness with a fully loaded trailer. During the call with the customer our representative explained that the crew was willing to go to all his other stops and circle back with only his building on the truck and attempt again. The crew would expend a significant amount of time unloading and reloading this building at each stop and lose time/money re-routing, but he was willing to do so. The crew did in fact complete the rest of his work and has circled back to this customer today as promised. The crew contacted the customer to advise of their arrival and the customer indicated that he would accept delivery. The crew is currently about 10 minutes out from the customer. We do apologize for any frustration or inconvenience. The crew and our staff have truly worked very hard to ensure that this unit is installed. Unfortunately, there is very little we can do to anticipate this type of issue in advance.

      Update: ******** arrived on site, the customer was there. Even with only the one unit on the trailer the hill is still too steep. The customer acknowledged that the crew could not get up to the site. The customer was offered a drop off or refund. The customer chose to be refunded. ********************** will issue a refund for the portion paid to CCI.

      I ordered a carport on April the 8th on June the 5th they were going to install my carport on June the 3rd they called me and told me that they would have to reschedule for the next day June 6th because they were behind no problem June 6th came no carport got a phone call after 6:00 that afternoon stating that they were behind due to weather I asked was I going to get my carport next day I was told it would have to go back and be rescheduled because they have other orders ahead of me for the next day so they took the carport from ******** Virginia drove by my house to take the carport back to North Carolina so they could pick up orders for the next day I called ************************ left several messages never got a call back with me waited a week called I was told they would have to reschedule a month out my building permit would be running out they did not do anything to rectify this matter they just came up with excuses and not Solutions so they only pick and choose who they're going to put behind based on how much money you spend that's not how you run a business

      We apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused. We do try to avoid reschedule situations as much as possible. However, we do include that as a possibility in our contract terms and conditions so that customer understand that this is site built construction and there are certain things beyond our control that can lead to delays. In this case, this particular customer was not the only person impacted. The majority of the route was cancelled due to weather. The crew did spend 2 days in the area hoping that weather would ease to a point they could finish but it did not. The weather outlook was grim for the remainder of the route. We do have this customer back in a route for next week, 1st stop on the route.

      We ordered our enclosed garage from a local dealer in February. I received a call from Carolina carports a few days later to say they received our order and to call when we had the site ready. I called a few weeks later and they told me where to send the site photos. After I sent the photo's I received a reply of thank you. I was ready to wait as the local dealer said it might be 6-12 weeks. I received a phone call to set up installation for exactly 4 weeks after site photos were sent. The contractor then called me to ask if he could come a few days before scheduled install date. That was good with me. ****** and his crew arrived at the scheduled time and got to work. They worked very fast and hard with everyone knowing their job. When the were done the picked up all garbage and had a big magnet to pick up metal and screws. Yes we walked around and found another hand full but that is not bad for a construction project. We couldn't be more happier with our garage. I was also concerned when I read some of the reviews on here and on ********* I think most people that are happy with their product don't usually take the time to write a good review. I also left a good review on the ******** site that really had many bad things to say and they took it off and blocked me. They must not have wanted anyone to be happy. Thank you Carolina Carport for our new building.

      This business is the worst I have ever dealt with. There has been ZERO communication from this company. I have called and been told "someone will get back to you"...never happens. Emailed and no response. What am I supposed to do. There have been many calls and emails, all ignored. It got to the point that there was no way to work things out with them. Now all I want is my deposit back. This was all their fault for not calling or responding back to me. We could have worked things out. Now they are ignoring me thinking they can keep my deposit. Well I'm not stopping until I get my money back!

      We appreciate you reaching out. However, CCI has been in contact with you. You have been emailing with ****** in this office. You advised ****** that you had a large issue and was going to need to move in the direction of a pole barn due to county regulations. You stated that you had been trying to contact the dealer, who has your down payment, without success. ****** advised that she would also attempt to reach the dealer on your behalf. She did reach out to the dealer via email. At this time. CCI does not have any portion of your money, that is the dealer's commission for the sale. Typically commissions are non-refundable but I cannot speak to your dealer's policy. We are happy to reach out to them again on your behalf but would appreciate it if you would direct your complaint to the appropriate company as the issues you are having are not with CCI.

      Lots of bad reviews on these guys and my first experience with them over 10 years ago was not great. I had put a deposit down on a basic carport and finally cancelled the order after installation scheduling issues that were the contractor's fault. My last two experiences have been very positive and I would do business with them again. I bought a carport about two years ago through my local Handi House dealer. The process went smoothly and I am happy with the product. I contracted with the same dealer on 2/20/24 for a 24x36 enclosed shop building. I put down my deposit and immediately contacted a concrete company to install my slab. The slab was completed on 2/27 and photos were sent to ******* at Carolina Carports. I was contacted about two weeks later with an install date of 3/25/24. On that day, the contractor called me around 1:50 pm to let me know he was at my location. I was on the way and told him he was welcome to get started. The crew of five was friendly and fast. They were done with the entire building around 6:30 pm. If people are expecting a ***************** at the price point offered, they really need to embrace reality. I priced a basic pole barn structure the same size and it was going to be double the price ($38K+ was the estimate.) I have $17,900 total with the cost of the concrete slab ($6,700) into my shop and I am more than happy with the result. I can deal with picking up a couple dozen dropped screws and the few other minor aesthetic nuances of this type of building.

      I had a small hay barn installed. The installer ran into a pole with a camera on it - this resulted in damages (I dont remember the exact amount I believe in the $1,000-$2,000 area).The installer said that the Carolina Carports would reimburse me - and he gave me a phone number to call for Carolina Carports and left. I had paid half and still owed half on the barn. So I got an estimate for damages and was going to pay my balance minus the estimate for damages. I was told that installer was a subcontractor - he was responsible for the damages and Carolina Carports were not responsible for the damages caused by a subcontractor they hired- which is not true And of course he would not answer his phone and Carolina Carports wouldnt give me his name or other contact info.I was told I still owed the full balance and they would send me to collections which affects my credit.My credit is important to me and I knew I would pay more in attorney fees to *** them than the damage was worth so i paid it and moved on.So be aware if you hire them and your property is destroyed you are out of luck - they wouldnt reimburse you and if you refuse to pay your credit is ruined.Its ridiculous Im about to have a 30x60 building constructed Would have used them But now i never will again My neighbor asked for a recommendation- I told him absolutely avoid Carolina Carports Should have done the right thing Now they lost two larger jobs And they are thieves and they have to live themselves ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS COMPANY

      We appreciate you sharing your concerns. Carolina Carports is a manufacturer. The materials are sold to subcontractors who provide the installation. Every contractor is insured with WC, GL, Auto and ************* coverage. You were provided insurance information and a claim was filed. The adjuster assigned to the claim conducted an investigation and determined that the damage was not caused by the contractor. You were not satisfied with the adjusters determination. CCI reached out and requested on your behalf that the claim be reopened. Unfortunately, CCI does not have control over the determination by the insurance company. We have requested they reopen the claim.
