Active ************************ ***************** with 26 years of relocating. Currently attached to a Naval vessel, that spends a considerable amount of time away (*******, **). Moved to a Sea Coast Rental rental property (************, **) in Nov 2019. Provided security deposit of $1350 and timely monthly direct deposit payments via the online portal that Sea Coast implemented, which I assume was to alleviate mailing delays and or issues. Relocated from the residence on Oct 2022, was instructed that home was in pristine condition, "thanked me for taking care of property", and a full security deposit would be returned via check. At the time, had no permanent address at new duty station, requested check to be mailed to my adult Daughter's address. Check did NOT arrive, at no fault of my own. Was informed by Sea Coast Rental to continue to wait as their checks did not have an expiration date. In March 2023, contacted *********************************, who verified check had NOT been cashed and informed me that in order for another check to be mailed, $35 would be deducted. I requested that the funds be directed deposited into my account, in which I was informed that it can not be done even though I previously made payments in that fashion. I requested that the check be sent US-certified mail for tracking purposes, in which I was informed that it couldn't be done. Sea Coast Rentals continues to operate in antiquated and deceitful business practices has not provided me any reassurance that they aren't just swindling and or nickel and diming me out of my security deposit as it has been 8 months since I vacated the residence. I have copies of text messages from various Sea Coast Rental staff members that state I'm owed a full refund of security deposit. Thanks.
