At this point I was pass to another representative, *****.
I was then told that I would have to eat 3k in materials, but would not have to pay for the labor to have the omitted materials installed. ***** was very apologetic and stated that they would even eat 500.00 of the material cost as a courtesy due to their oversight. I inform ***** that this was going to increase overall cost of the job over 25%. Later, I ask ***** if I could supply the needed materials after finding my cost to be half of theirs. No response.
Later on I received a email from **** another representative who informed me that he was unable to honor their previous estimates and promises. After receiving his email I called ****. He stated that he would have to get back with me about what ***** had promised me in earlier emails. Even though they all were always copied on the emails.
To my family and my surprise he denied most of the details that was stated in previous emails and drop us from the ready to hire phase with their company and refuse to take our job. No crossed words were pass either way. I only wanted to know what to expect after a 3k oversight.
One of last things **** stated was he did not like my tone as one the reason why he dropped us. I would think one's words would be the way to express questions or ideas in texts. Most individuals would agree that it very difficult to express tone through text or emails effectively.
This never met with me in person to discuss the scope of such a major project which should have been a red flag.
I have all the estimates, emails and text. The way we were treated was not professional.
We were ready to proceed with the job and pay cash in full upon completion.
