We recently had a week long stay at a Sunset Property on **********. The management company is high disorganized, condescending and passive aggressive. They lied to multiple members of our party over the phone prior to checking in and then acted incredibly defensive after being confronted in person at their office. Our home was not ready due to a door lock that needed fixed. The Sunset employees had no idea when we would get into the property and offered no solutions to expedite. We drove 10 hours with small children and they couldnt have cared any less. We decided to visit the property to inspect it ourselves only to find the door was working properly and was fixed hours prior. There was zero apology or responsibility taken for the miscommunication and inconvenience. The home itself was NOT CLEANED AT ALL. If you are reading this I would encourage you to read my ****** Review with detailed photos of the disgusting grime and dirt we were greeted with upon getting into the home. It was also falling apart and in need of dire maintenance across the entire property. Please do yourself a favor and book through one of the many other property management companies on the island. Sunset Properties will do their best to spin the situation but in the end, we paid a good deal of money for a very poor experience all around. I wouldnt recommend this company to my worst enemy. Hi ****,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We hate you had a poor experience, however, I wanted to shed some light on the check-in procedure as there seems to be some confusion. Check-in begins at 4pm. There are occasions when a property is available earlier than 4 however, that is not guaranteed. We do utilize a text system which alerts our guests when properties are available. It appears someone in your party arrived at 10am to check into the property and it was not available. We do understand you had young children, and it was inconvenient for you to have to wait until check-in time. In between check-out and check-in, we do any notated maintenance and clean the property. In this case, we did need the full time to clean and complete a maintenance request on the property. We do see the pictures of the cleaning and it does appear a few items were missed. While we do not want that to happen, it does on occasion, and we are more than happy to address those concerns during your stay. I do not show record of you reaching back out regarding cleaning after being given the keys to your rental property around 4:15pm.
