              Unc/Rex Hospital asked for my ID and Insurance card. Then billed the wrong insurance. When I called them to verify, they the correct insurance they filed it to the correct insurance but did not mail a statement to me. They sent it straight to a collection agency. They claim they did not have my complete address and they also said they do not make calls. I called to request a statement and to be removed from collections. They found another amount they claim I owe them from 9 years ago, this 9-year-old bill is not currently in collections, but they added this old bill to my current bill, making the total much higher, but it was sent through an email, and I would have to sign up for an account. Please ask this hospital to mail an itemized statement since I did not receive one in a timely manner. And remove me from the collection agency..

              AVOID AT ALL COST!!! UNC Health engages in deceptive business practices, does not make their costs known upfront for elective, low-priority procedures and tests, and then tries to stick you with the bill afterwards. CHOOSE ANY OTHER PROVIDER!!!
