My name is ***********************, and Im filing a complaint against Tatum and Atkinson regarding their billing practices in relation to my case following a car accident. I sought representation from ****************** who managed my case for approximately one year. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances within their firm, the progress of my case stagnated, and had to seek alternative representation from Tatum and Atkinson in May, 2023, with the expectation that they would diligently pursue my case and effectively manage associated medical fees. Tatum and Atkinson assured me that they would negotiate my medical bills to a substantially lower amount and handle certain medical expenses. However, after only six months of handling my case, they advised me to settle, promising a higher overall settlement amount. Trusting their expertise, I agreed to the settlement terms. Regrettably, the fees charged by Tatum and Atkinson far exceeded what I believe to be reasonable for the services rendered, especially considering that the previous law firm had conducted the majority of the groundwork and that Tatum and Atkinson failed to fulfill their commitment to negotiating my medical bills. Furthermore, I have not received proof of payment of the expenses they were entrusted to manage, and there somehow remain outstanding medical bills that still have not been relieved. Despite my repeated attempts to communicate my concerns and seek resolution after the settlement, I have been met with silence from Tatum and Atkinson. This lack of responsiveness and failure to address my legitimate concerns further compounds my dissatisfaction with their services. I am taking steps to escalate this issue, as their conduct throughout this process has left me with a profound sense of ethical misgivings, and I believe it is imperative that their billing practices be investigated thoroughly.
