Horrible experience! Me and my boyfriend traveled to North Carolina from NYC to house shop.We stopped at Holiday Inn because that’s one of my favorite hotels to go to. Before check out time the maid open our door while we was getting dress. She apologized but I thought she could had simply knocked to see if we checked out yet .Now it’s Check out time and We was running behind because we was so tired and we over slept.My boyfriend left out at 11:04.I was about to walk out the door at 11:05. When I heard a knock I opened the door and It was a lady who seems like she was annoyed and said with a attitude it’s Check out time and walked off. 20 seconds later I left out.This is all on hotel camera the encounters I had with both ladies .This is where it get worse !! While back in NYC I start to Check my chargers on my card . It’s something I always do at least twice a week to make sure all charges are accurate. I see a Charge for 250.00.I didn’t even know what the charge was so I called my bank. After speaking to them I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I thought it was accidental charge so I called Holiday inn express and asked about the charge .A lady answered and I told her about the charge.She says hold and comes back saying we was charged a smoking fee.I still was in denial because we don’t even smoke .Maybe it’s a mix up or something she transfer me to the manger.At this point I completely lost my cool because ain’t no way in hell you gonna charge me for something I didn’t do and we don’t even smoke! She comes on the phone and now Im very angry because I can’t believe what I’m hearing. She said you guys was smoking and it was ashes in the room.How was their ashes if we don’t smoke though? She even said she has pictures and I told her I would like to see those pictures. She said she can’t do that and hung up! .I kept calling and they kept hanging up.I feel as though we was targeted and discriminated against! This only happen to us because we’re black
