      We are constantly getting reminders. And I just realized they did not charge our insurance. I will never use Triad Radiology again. They don't call you back. They are very expensive because they don't bill your insurance, for some reason. We will only do scans at ***********. Never had this problem with ****. Wake always charges insurance. We have paid so much money and had no idea insurance wasn't being charged.

      We are sorry that you've had difficulty with your insurance not getting billed. Triad Radiology provides the interpretation of imaging services performed by **************************. The hospital sends us the patient information, including the insurance. Unfortunately, in your case, we did not receive the insurance information so you were billed for the services. We looked back at our call logs and see that you called on 5/10/24 but didn't leave a message or complete a call back request. Our billing staff has spoken with you today and updated your insurance to resubmit your claims. They have also issued you a refund for payments you made on these services.

      They have the most confusing billing processes that I have ever seen. First of all, no one ever voluntarily talks to you and helps you set up a payment plan, or explains any thing to you about the billing process. When you go through medical procedures, and start getting dozens of bills, it can be very confusing, but Triad Radiology is probably the worst because they have imaging bills coming from multiple locations—-AND- since they are private, and not part of Novant, you have to set up a separate payment plan with them. No one told me this until later. I sent an email complaining of their billing processes in April 2023, and now, all of a sudden I’m not getting any sort of notification that any payments are due—by mail or email. I cannot keep up with payments due if I don’t get notifications. Makes me think that perhaps I’m paid in full. How else would I know? It’s not my job to do the reaching out.

      Triad Radiology is a separate, independent company from Novant and we are unable to combine our bills with theirs. We've had several conversations with the patient by email & phone and set up a payment plan in December per her request. Over the time of the balance due, we've sent 17 emails and 5 paper bills. On April 13th, the patient opted out of email statements and a paper bill was sent on April 14th. A payment was made on 4/28. A paper statement will be sent each month indicating the amount due on the payment plan. As long as the patient makes monthly payments, they will remain on a payment plan. If a payment is not made, the payment plan ends. We have and will continue to work with the patient to enable her to pay her balance.

      I have not received any paper bill since my last payment on 4/28/23, nor any indication that I was taken off any payment plan. I am not even certain when my monthly payment is due. Now here we are in June…

      After I mailed a check they still texted saying it was going to be concerned late. When they said it was the last day I paid again with a credit card. The check cleared my bank the same day. I have called them several times. Today they said it could be 2 months before I get a refund. This not good business practice. I am a Medicare patient and need my money not pay somebody 2 times and then wait this long for a refund. I paid the check 4/24 and then by credit card on 5/16 because they said they didn’t have the check but the check cleared my bank on 5/16 so they had already deposited it. One man was very rude to me on the phone.

      We have reviewed the account and found that there was an unusual delay in the receipt and processing of the payment from our bank for the check that was sent on 4/24. Payments made by check are mailed to our bank's PO Box where it is deposited first and then payment information is sent to us the next day. It is then posted on the patient account, usually by the next day. We have recently been in touch with our bank to address the delays and they have been resolved. We apologize that the patient was caught in the middle of this and paid us twice. The refund was posted to the patient's credit card on 5/31/23. Additional training will be provided to the representative who took the last call.
