My wife and I had trouble with this masonry contractor. They bid the job for a certain price, then submitted an invoice for 50% to 100% more than the bid. When we asked questions about the invoice they said the bids are longer valid, and threatens to put a lien on property if we did not pay the full amount (extortion). We had 3 invoices which falsely claimed areas of masonry word which he did not actually complete (lied about square footage on all invoices). We had quality problems including stone fell off and missing grout between stones. ** century code requires remedy within 30 days of notification. They claim they did not receive the notification sent in the mail, yet a check was mailed to the same address and cashed promptly. They also threatened us to remove our reviews or else they would file a slander law suit, more threats to my wife and I. I have all the documentation and would be glad to share it with anybody.

*********** I at no time did I threaten your wife!! I've never had any contact with her other that a group text you added me to . You had initiated two court cases against me . You lost both. A judge would not dismiss you claims twice unless he found evidence to prove your claims. You continue to harass , bully , and intimidate. With False claims. I did one job for you . I have text , pictures and emails proving the work was completed. Text and phone conversation on how you said I quote you are an artist it looks awesome ,my wife loves what you did. . I also completed repairs you requested , sent proof ,requested confirmation and you didn't reply. Then went on social media to defama slander and commit liable against me. I have documented every post every review text messages emails letters court cases (both dismissed with prejudice) you claimed I filed a lein on your house I did not. Easy searchable. Your invoices where more than the estimate (estimate- approximate job cost based on information customer provided) partly because you didn't provide materials you previously state you would. You changed the *** multiple times as the job went on. We had discussed changes on your project as we went forward you where not concerned that these changes would cost more. You stated you would not pay me until you get a materials and labor cost breakdown. I felt at that point it wasn't worth the argument because of you're threatening. Informed you if I had to I would file a lein on your property if you didn't pay. You then waited a few days before threatening me again. Which I reduced the amount. Again I have every conversation documented . I will seek legal action.

My wife and I built our home, and this contractor threatened to put a lien on our home if we did not pay the false invoices, and now threatened some sort of legal action if we remove these truthful posts. My wife works as a medical professional and saves lives nearly every week, and together we put our resources together to build a home. Then we find ourselves dealing with this contractor who detracts from our great community. Here are the facts, this contractor submitted invoice for 151 sq ft of masonry work which he did not complete 30 sq ft, actual was 121 sq ft of exterior stone. Another invoice for 150 sq ft of fireplace and some exterior garage stone, actual installed sq ft was 136 sq ft. The labor rate was also increased because he thought he deserves it. There was also a $600 charge for masonry color 30 bags, actual is 3 bags. We did have stone come off as a result of poor workmanship, some of it was remedied after 5 months after our lawyer sent him a letter. Notification was sent in excess of 30 days ago for the remaining poor workmanship is but has not been remedied. The information we provided for estimate was very accurate: stacked stone, dimensions were almost exact, and weather was good for fall work. We managed about 25 contractors, this contractor was the only one to submit false invoices followed by threats of filing a lien if we did not pay. I have all the documents to share if anyone wants to see them.
