I have always made my payments on time(credit score 820). The FNBO would not accept my payment online. I never could figure out why. So I sent them a check, closed the account and cut up the card after the balance was paid in full. The next day they charged me a $25 "dishonoured fee". That $25 has destroyed my credit score(810 down to 650). I had to file a dispute along with screenshots with equifax to sort out this mess. I do not know if there are others that experienced the same, but if there are, I don't want anyone to have the same experience as me.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

Rachael, we appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention, and you may rest assured they have been shared appropriately. The most common reason a customer would be unable to submit a payment via the app or website is that a previous payment was returned due to invalid account information. If this happens, to help prevent further returned payments, a block is placed on the account that prevents additional online payments from being scheduled until the issue is resolved. Per the terms of the account, if a payment is returned, a payment dishonor, or returned payment fee, may be charged. To look into this further, and see what options may be available for any fees or other issues, please do not hesitate to contact us at 888-530-3626, or submit a secure message after logging into your account from our website, where our Specialists will be happy to help.Customer Response

I tried to pay over the phone since online wouldn't work and the agent told me they don't accept over the phone payments anymore. You can look back at the recording and hear it for yourself. I held an 800+ credit score for 15 years and now its 670. I checked with my bank and my account IS VALID. I even had them assist me with the website to ensure I was typing my information in correctly. It took 2 weeks for the check to arrive from my bank to FNBO and during that time the phone calls were non stop from FNBO demanding payment. I wanted to pay, but none of the 2024 options of today worked. So I had to snail mail a check like its year 1993. You can't do this to people!Review from Michael B

They allowed their card user to scam our small business out of $530.00! We provided all proof, including Customer signature that they agree to our T&C, and still sided with card user with no proof on his end. Scammers are apparently fine with this bank, which makes them a SCAM!!!! Stay FAR AWAY from this bank at all costs!!!First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

After moving I repeatedly called in and requested my address to be updated. Every time I was told my record was updated but I would soon after discover it had not. This resulted in my new debit card being sent to my old address, and it ended up being returned. Instead of reaching out to me, the new card was immediately destroyed and my current card which was still valid and in use was canceled without warning. I had to call in to find out why I suddenly couldn't use my card. I once again gave my current address and a new card was ordered. I repeatedly confirmed the correct address, but nearly a month later found out that card was also returned, again no communication to me to inform me of a problem. I ordered a card yet again but still have not seen it after 2 weeks. In the meantime I have been receiving other mail correctly so clearly my address is finally up to date. But at this point I have been without a debit card for close to two months. This is more than just an inconvenience as this is for a business with a lot of purchases on a daily basis. It has cost me a considerable amount of money because I frequently have to move money from my business account to my personal account to purchase supplies. I usually can't wait for a check to clear so I have had to pay hundreds of dollars infees for tranfers. No help has been offered to resolve this problem, I keep calling in to customer support but just keep repeating the same things and accomplishing nothing. I can't speak for the any other services offered by FNBO but for business checking i recommend staying far away.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

I've been a customer since 2011 and have never been 30 days late on a payment. I paid one payment four days after the due date and incurred a late fee which I paid. I get a letter in the mail stating there lowering my credit line. They lowered it to the point that the card was maxed out which negatively affects my credit. I have several other credit cards that continue to raise my limit even without me requesting it. I called their customer service voice my complaint then paid the card off. I would close it but I am too credit conscientious to do that. I've worked at the banking industry for 14 years and I know what they're doing to People's Credit by lowering the limit to the current account balance. Horrible way to treat your good customers!First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

I feel customer service, as well as management could use revamped and improved. They do not demonstrate loyalty or compassion with long term, good standing customers. Very disappointed in my experience. Please do betterFirst National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

This is the worst credit card company I have ever dealt with. I pay my bill on time. I am in the process of trying to improve my credit and paid an extra $600 on top of my ~$200 minimum and they continue to lower my credit limit each time I do so. Because of this they report monthly to the credit bureau that I am at my limit when I am actively working so hard to lower my usage percentage. I called and expressed my concern, and all they did was continue to lower my limit each month. I cannot wait until I pay this off and they can no longer harm my credit. They have also increased my interest rate to about 30%. It’s sickening. I cannot wait to see the AI generic response to this. You can guarantee I will not be calling and talking to your unprofessional staff that cannot help me in any way.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

Used to be a very customer service oriented bank that would take care of any mistake they made. Unfortunately over the past I say 10 years everything has gone down hill but mistakes have gone up. Also just to talk to someone on the phone with any knowledge will take you on average 25 minutes. Will be switching my banks within a month after this weeks serviceFirst National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

Horrible credit card and horrible customer service. I lost my card and had to cancel it. The process is cumbersome as your only option is to call and wait on hold for around 20 minutes and that’s if the system doesn’t hang up on you before you can speak to someone. Upon canceling my card they erased my entire account with all my statements. They never applied my last payment to my card and I had to request all my past statements to be mailed to me. This company outright sucks and is hands down the worst credit card I’ve had to date. If you need to dispute any charges you must call. Every other credit card it’s a click of a button. Avoid this credit card or just get the card and you can see for yourself.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

I have been paying my bill every month. There were a few months I didn't pay the full amount, but always paid something. The issue I have with this bank is they are calling me non stop several times a day at all hours of the day to collect less than $100. They also call from multiple different states with different numbers. Most of the numbers come up as Scam Likely on my phone, but the voicemail is always from FNBO. They need to stop calling me and harassing me. I know how much I owe and don't want these sneaky, scam numbers hounding me. How is this a legal business practice?First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response
