I am pleased our therapists were able to help you, however I feel your negative review regarding the cost of our services and communication is inaccurate and unfair.
I spoke extensively with my billing department so I could gain a thorough understanding of your account. Bottom line, the reason you received a bill for services was
solely due to your high insurance deductible. A factor we have no control over.
To offer a counter to your accusation of no communication from our billing department.
12/21/20: You were contacted by our billing department and informed of the approximate cost of each session. You were also informed due to your high deductible;
these charges would be Out of Pocket. Which simply means, your insurance company would not be covering these visits until your deductible was met.
1/27/21: You were sent an itemized statement of your account.
5/05/21: We were notified by your insurance company they were not going to be covering any of your therapy expenses secondary to you not meeting your deductible.
I did have some concern as to the length of time from when you were sent a statement to when insurance denied payment. I was informed the reason for the length of time
was our billing department was working a great deal with your insurance company to attempt to get them to cover some or all the cost.
6/14/21: You contacted our billing department and requested an itemized statement which was sent out to you right away.
11/04/21: Billing department contacted you regarding payment.
12/06/21: Letter was sent to you regarding your account.
We go to great lengths to give as much information to patients regarding their accounts and cost of services as well as what their insurance companies will and won't cover as best we can.
We were up front with you from the beginning that you still had to meet your deductible and your insurance company was not going to pay anything until it was met.
The last thing we want is for our customers to receive a surprise bill. We tried very hard to get your insurance company to cover at least some of the cost and we have been
very patient in receiving compensation for our services. All of which is why I feel your complaint is both inaccurate and unfair.
