I am a %90 disabled veteran. I went to an alcohol rehabilitation facility (Green Mountain Rehabilitation in Effingham, NH) that treated me, and Many others, with demeaning, cold, and rude behavior. I was there less than a week. I informed them I was leaving after my detoxification. When I tried to leave, they denied me my personal belongings… my car, my wallet, my cell phone, my cash… and told to walk to their gate (down a steep hill, 200yds). They said they’d bring me my belongings when they got around to it. They informed me my car was in a parking lot 3 miles down the road and I’d have to walk once they gave me my keys. Turns out my car was 200 yds down the road in someone’s front yard. They KNEW I was disabled and had difficulty getting around. They threatened me, tried to coerce me, into staying so they could continue to milk insurance money from the VA. A compassionate company employee did to come to help me from the actions of his employer/peers… and later the information conveyed to me by him about the company’s business plan, and utter disdain for patients. MANY negative reviews are available on-line. I highly suspect any positive reviews as I knew of not a single patient in the facility that I met that had anything positive to say. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE... You've been warned.
