Tacuri Home Modification LLC. is, to put it mildly, an unreliable construction company. The principal is ***** Tacuri who over promises and underperforms. I hired Tacuri to do a complete renovation of my bathroom in my one bedroom and do some work in other parts of my apartment. I went on vacation for two weeks while the construction was taking place since ***** was not vaccinated and it seemed only one person on his crew might have been vaccinated. ****** brother ********************* Tacuri is very good at tile work and did a commendable job putting porcelain tiles on the bathroom walls and floor. However, they created a leak which warped the laminate flooring outside the bathroom. ***** denied his construction had anything to do with it. There were also other areas where the laminates were scratched and damaged which ***** denied was his doing. I had to spend thousands to replace my floors since the damage was extensive. To make matters worse, ***** Tacuri made unwanted sexual overtures. I let his misbehavior slide since I was all set to go on on vacation and just wanted work done. In retrospect, I should have cancelled the contract and demand my deposit back. However, his work product started to show how he skimped on materials and did the cheapest and easiest way of covering up what needed to be replaced. I contacted him to fix his poor work product but he has refused to make the repairs! He painted rusted metal molding which is now peeling; and used incorrect filler for a large gap which is now cracked and unsightly . I would have let the damage to my apartment, his using bathroom fixtures of his choice and not mine, and his sexual overtures slide but the final straw was his refusal to fix his poor construction work. It is now only 4 months since he completed my bathroom and I must hire someone else to fix his shoddy work product. I dont like posting negative reviews but I want to warn others and to NOT hire Tacuri Home Modification
