4 days agoNEW Concern with Service. Are they using questionable parts?Called midas regarding quote on 3/5/22 regarding brake services. Ask to replace all 4 rotors and brake pads. They had quoted me around $350 per axle.I dropped off my car today on 3/8/22, they said they would inspect my brakes and call me back. **** from Midas called me at around ****am, he stated that back axle would cost be around 580, front axle around 450, brake fluid which was 60. All together the quote price came close to $1200. When asked why such a huge price difference, **** stated that its because of the different car model. After declining the service, he said I can do a final price of $1100 and nothing lower. After declining service again, he stated let me check with the boss and get back to you. Called back 5 minutes later and said we can do for $350 per axle, plus $60 for the brake fluid change. I didnt even question why the brake fluid change was that expensive compared to the quote of $49.99 given over the phone. Had them complete the replacement of the brakes/rotors.Final total came to $855.00, 359 for each axle, 60 for brake fluid and an extra 90 for parts/tax? First Im charged an extra $10 for each axle and an extra $40 for other miscellaneous parts.The quote today versus Saturday phone quote came close to $450. I dont need an explanation from Midas Hawthorne since that is were the issue had started.

This is a simple matter of miscommunication on behalf of **** (a new employee in training) he was not aware of the price previously quoted to the customer. We did reach out to him multiple times because we are a small business owners and every ***** counts and goes towards rent Payrol taxes and employing 7 individuals putting food on the tables of 7 families. Hence we did not want to loose the sale we lowered the price and cut our profit thinking something is better than nothing. Same parts were used regardless of the price. Our warranties speak for them selves 1 year on parts and labor free replacement should anything go wrong and a life time warranty on the pads. Please disregard this negative review and dont post it.
