I had my 2016 Dodge Journey at ************ location for 2 weeks as they were "backed" up with work which was ok. I was informed by *********************** that my Car shield warranty was being difficult(complaint no way related to this). ***** informed me that it sounded like my timing chain was going as I told her that was one of my concerns. Due to the warranty issue I told ***** that I would be over to pick my vehicle up and not to do anything to it. Well I picked my vehicle up a little more than a week ago and began to drive it. I got out of the vehicle upon parking it and noticed that I had a tire that didn't belong to me on my vehicle. I have all season tires and this one was a brand NEW one that wasn't all season. I called ***** with a promise that she'd call me back. She called me back a day after I filed a complaint with Dodge corporate office. I informed her of the problem this presented and she tried to say it wasn't done there. She said let her talk to her service manager *** and he would get back to me. Well *** got back to me on June 30th again a day later and informed me that his mechanic was an older gentleman that would never damage any vehicle then went on to say well if it was tire damage we had a warehouse of tires. That's not my issue. MY issue is why wasn't I informed that my vehicle was damaged. It had to be taken out on a road test for them to hear the problem with the motor/engine/timing chain. I informed *** that I was very familiar how dealerships work and stand behind one another as I myself worked for well known car dealerships and as a parts driver. I being hot headed cursed the manager as all he kept saying was that he was sorry. Well sorry doesn't cut it as I'm taking this as far as a can. As I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot they would. ******************************************

In response to the customers concern, The customer dropped their vehicle off for diagnosis of an engine noise, The customer has an aftermarket warranty thru Car Shield, Our service technician diagnosed the concern and our service advisor ***** after several tries contacted Car Shield, The customers warranty advised ***** that the initial charges to disassemble the engine to locate the root cause would need to be authorized by the customer, after the failure was confirmed ***** would prepare a repair estimate for Car Shield. upon conversation with the customer, the customer declined our service department to perform any further diagnosis on the vehicle, The customer picked up their vehicle and paid the authorized diagnostic charge of $ *****. The customer communicated with ***** on or about 6/28/2022 stating that when the vehicle was in our service department that our technician replaced the left tire on the vehicle with a ' New " tire. ***** attempted to explain that it could not be possible for our tech to replace the tire without permission and or reason, the customer requested to speak to the service manager. *********** manager ( ********************* ) reached out to the customer on 7/1/2022 and the customer explained their concerns. *********** manager explained that the technician would not have a reason to replace the tire on the customers vehicle. The customer was explained that a technician can not receive a part from the parts department without the tire being charged out on a repair order. The customer stated " I used to deliver parts for a dealership and I know how it can be done " *********** manager explained to the customer since he was a previous dealer parts driver then he was aware that a tire could not be supplied from the parts department without being charged on a repair order. The customer stated " Your technician could of gotten a tire from ********************** and put on my car. *********** manager tried to explain it could not be a possibility for our service department to have replaced the tire on their vehicle. The customer became angry and started to use abusive language towards the service manager, and the service manager ended the call.
