Hired 702 Painting & Drywall to rework my house. The job was to take 2 weeks and include scraping popcorn ceilings, retexturing ceilings and repainting the interior of the house. The painters arrived early while I was still moving my items into storage and got to work taping off fixtures and wall attachments. After the first week I stopped by for a status update. In the process of scraping popcorn, they had drenched my carpets in water. Upon questioning the foreman, he said that it was normal and would not be an issue. I noticed they had not taken down the AC air vents and were going to paint over them. I asked that they don't because this would glue the vent to the ceiling and if it was ever to be taken off it would bring paint and texture with it. They complied, but not with my ceiling fan, towel racks or bathroom light fixtures which are in the same boat. The following week I returned to further inspect the progress. There were scuffs on the new paint job that were left by the scaffolding used to reach the vaulted ceiling, the ceiling fan was blowing the breaker when turned on, there were paint drips scattered around the house, and they had painted both the inside of my brand new AC unit and the carpets (Which they did ask if I would be replacing. I said, "Yes, but not for a while"). As time went on I found uneven seams/corners and other short cuts that were used along the way. In an attempt to correct these issues I have reached out to the company. With the exception of the paint scuffs and popping breaker (which were promptly corrected), the damages were downplayed and corrective action was avoided by the company. Estimated repairs total the cost of the job. While the texturing, painting and cleaning of general areas was adequate (granted one star for this), the work was completed in a "quick and dirty" fashion. My recommendation is to only hire this outfit for small jobs that they will spend the time and attention to make a quality product.
