BBB sent correspondence to Tree Soldiers on May 5, May 15, May 25, and July 10, 2023, requesting substantiation for advertised claims that appear on the website https://treesoldiers.com/. To date, the business has not responded to our request.

BBB Code of Advertising # 1. Basic Principles of the Code
1.1 The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.
1.2 Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.

BBB requested substantiation for the following claims:

Business start date.
Membership to the Tree Care Industry Association as they are not listed in the online directory.
Certifications from ISA of a certified arborist as ISA does not have the business listed in their online directory.
Licensing as the business claims they are licensed and insured as well as licensing for land clearing services as they advertise this license.
Certifications or licensing required to substantiate multiple claims on the website of being a Tree Surgeon, Tree Doctor, or arborist and certified and licensed arborists.
The business advertises, “We have a team of more than 1000 licensed & certified arborists and tree experts.” BBB requested substantiation of this claim.
“Our Awards 12+” 
BBB asked what is meant by “Member 1000+”.
The website states. “Best Pick Reports 2016 Certified”. BBB requested proof of this certification. The Best Pick Reports are for business located in Atlanta. BBB asked if the business has another location in Atlanta.
“2019 Tops 3 Tree Services in Atlanta” BBB requested proof of this award and asked again if the business has a location in Atlanta.

BBB Code of Advertising #20. Warranties or Guarantees
20.1 When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request.
20.2 Advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,” “free trial offer,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request.
20.3 When “satisfaction guarantee” or similar representations are used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.
20.5 Sellers or manufacturers should advertise that a product or service is warranted or guaranteed only if the seller or manufacturer promptly and fully performs its obligations under the warranty or guarantee.

BBB requested that the business provide the terms and conditions for the following claims:

“100% commitment to customer satisfaction.”
“100% safe, healthy, and affordable tree trimming guarantee.” 
“we guarantee your satisfaction with our work.”
“100% safe, Cheap, and healthy stump Grinding guaranteed”
“100% land clean and tidy land guaranteed”
"100% customer satisfaction for tree trimming, stump grinding, tree removal, and land clearing."
