This is the worst home improvement company, they take advantage of older people, they don't keep their word. In the process of retaining a lawyer.PLEASE DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!!!!!

We haven't taken advantage of anyone. We did the customers roof in 2020 because she had leaks in her roof. Three years later she called and stated she had a leak, and I sent my roofer there right away. He sealed an area of the flat roof, and I didn't hear from her until a few months later. At that time, she wanted me to send someone to fix all of the interior damages that she claimed were caused from the leak. I sent one of my interior crews and he said there was extensive damage but that it was old damage and that it had already had spackle on the areas, like it had been started to be fixed at an earlier time. He also stated that there was no way that all of this damage could have been from a new leak that just started, He took pictures and I agree with his assessment. We explained this to ********************* daughter yesterday and suggested that she contact her insurance company and she did say that did make sense and that she would do that and here we are today with a bad review.

Beware of this company. This company rip my mother off My mother is an elderly lady. Advantage have been taken of her. We have a flat root and she was charged $18,000.00. When it should have been around $12,000.00. 1. When you walk into the attic of my mothers home you must be very careful All the nails sticking out and nails are hanging. My mother has called numerous times for the completion of the job and each time promises are being made and no one ever showed up. 2. Theres a leak coming from the roof - My mother cant afford to have the job to fix again. She has been calling numerous times and still yet no one comes or even calls. My mother whole retirement payments are being collected every month. This is not fair a woman who has work over 45 years and cant even enjoy her retirement money.

I am not aware who the reviewers mother is because it doesn't state it but if she would like to contact me in the office, I would be glad to help her. I am not aware of any open complaints.

Do NOT do business with this company! Even after you try to cancel services, they will continue to run your credit with all 3 bureaus - stating you are applying for MORTGAGES or CREDIT CARDS! The salesman *********************** came to give me a quote for a roof replacement, which would have meant me borrowing a significant amount of money! I agreed initially, but the same day (Saturday) I decided to cancel, I called and text to say I wasn't going to proceed. On Monday I called at ****am to reitierate that I didn't want to proceed, and they still ran my credit that afternoon, and again today - Stay away from Diplomat Home - now my credit score has decreased because of inquiries I didn't even authorize.

In response to this review, this person was visited and was given an estimate for her roof. She signed a contract and required 3 day right to cancel and a credit application and provided the required picture ID. She initially asked that we proceed with the process of financing in the meantime because her roof in leaking very badly. She was going to be applying with the city on Monday for a ***** but knew that was going to take significant time, which she did not have given the circumstances of her roof. The information was then given to the credit department. When a customer wants to cancel, the contract clearly states to do so in WRITING to the address on the contract, the customer also clearly states she did this by a phone call but this went to the wrong department and her credit was ran BEFORE she called regardless and was only ran once that morning. Her contract is now considered null and void

You didn't give me a cancellation form, and even if I did complete your application, I don't expect to receive alerts from Transunion and Equifax for a MORTGAGE that I am not applying for! ...That is fraud, and other potential customers need to be aware of Diplomat's practices.

I don't usually write reviews but I have been waiting for a called back from ***** since November 15, 2021 for paperwork to file with my taxes. The Project Supervisor twice told me he would bring the paperwork and spoke with ****** who said ***** would be able to help. Nope, neither of them has communicated with me. In September 2021 I contracted for the steps around my home to be redone which was done well. While hauling the bricks around to the back of house (in the backyard) Diplomat Home Improvement truck cracked a cement slab and I was told there was a sink hole. Being concerned the hole would spread I contracted Home Diplomat to redo the backyard (I had planned to do it anyway) since their crew was on site. BIG MISTAKE because the crew was not experienced in doing a large yard such as mine and was $2k more than a previous quote. The shed door was cemented closed, no one asked to have the door open, they were to cement around the shed and only went in front of the shed. The crew made sure the barbeque pit door opened and totally ignored the shed thinking it was a garage. Duh! The cement block in from of the shed had to be sanded down in order to open the door and now there is a circle of white on the ground. Since the shed was NOT cemented around there is a difference to one side of the shed. The crew was very messy while working and it took them 3 weeks to remove trash left in the ***** yard on the grass, which I had to have redone. They were to come back and finish applying thoroseal to basement steps but I haven't seen nor heard back since I made final payment. As long as I held back payment the Project Supervisor was coming out to check on work to finish the job. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to my worse enemy for they are evidently not interested in satifying a customer and do not know how to communicate. Steps around the house turned out well. Cementing the whole backyard, not so much. I think the job was too big for them.
