I am writing this to file a complaint regarding a used car purchase transaction that I made on 22nd December 2023. I am a foreign national, living in **. I visited a showroom ******* (address: ****************************************) which represents Elite Mitsubishi, located at ******, Atlantic Avenue, South Richmond Hill, ** (the car that I bought is ****** Rav 4 2019). I will try to summarize my situation in the following paragraphs:1.This showroom has a website ******************** where they publish attractive deals and car prices offered on sale. Before visiting **, I specifically called and asked if the price listed is inclusive of any dealership charges and costs associated, and they confirmed that it is the final selling price. Most cars that I shortlisted were priced between $15-19k, depending on mileage and condition. 2.When I visited the showroom on 22nd December 2023, I was told that the listed price of the car does not include dealer transit charges and misc costs/charges, which will add up to the listed price. In a nutshell, after detailed negotiations and bargaining, we agreed to finalize our deal for $22000, excluding ******************* The manager who dealt with us was specifically informed that given my tight budget and a very high rate of financing due to my lack of credit history, I do not want to subscribe to any additional warranties / contracts that are not mandatory with the purchase of this vehicle. She clearly agreed that she will only get us through with the documentation that is mandatory for the purchase of this vehicle, and that we will get the copies of all the documents via mail to our address in next ***** days.3.When our deal was concluded, I was handed over the car with temporary transit permit, a receipt of my $5000 deposit and a Carfax report, and was told that all the ****************** will be mailed to my address. 4.On the very next day of my purchase, one of my colleague informed me that my dealer might have missed out in handing over some key documents, including the one stating the actual sale price of the car. Also came to my knowledge later that despite our clear and unambiguous understanding, they have charged me more than $31500 for the car (which includes approximately 5500 in additional warranties and various contracts that I had specifically refused to subscribe to). Concerned about this, I reached out to Autolux several times by phone and email, but the manager has either avoided sharing the details, or states that I need to come in person to ******** talk to their finance team. To this date, I have not received any reasonable reply from them. They are neither refunding me the money that they charged me for additional warranties, nor are they taking this deception seriously. 5.All I am asking them is to fix what has been done incorrectly, refund my amount that they have charged me unjustly, especially the amount paid against the non-mandatory warranties and settle the situation. Knowing that I was coming from a different country and live in a different state, and given the limitation that I cannot travel to ********, I find their behavior very unreasonable as they say their finance team do not discuss matters over phone call, and that I will have to come to ** with my car to resolve this.6.From deceitful marketing tactic, misrepresenting facts, fraudulent inducement into making one sign a contract, and then avoiding any reasonable explanation have all piled up to my ordeal and mental distress. I can share the details of my communication and screenshot of car advertisement if that could be helpful in any way. I am reaching out to Better Business Bureau as I expect your organization can play the role of a mediator in getting my issue resolved amicably. I completely understand the role businesses play in any economy, and I am not against any business p**** However, such deceptive practices in business dealings should be discouraged at all levels. I am seeking help from this bureau as my last resort, failing which, I will be left with no option but to consider my legal remedies.Initial Complaint

22 September 2023 I purchased a faulty vehicle from Elite Mitsubishi. Causing me to almost crash and die. It was never disclosed to me that the vehicle had issues transmission. I put $2000 down and financed $28774.56. All Im asking is to break the contract. Its very exhausting dealing with this business. All I want is justice.Business response

To whom it may concern at Elite Mitsubishi. The 2017 Audi q7 that I purchased from *****************, had electrical transmission problems without being disclosed to me. The first day driving the vehicle home on the highway, the car engine shuts off, I almost get hit (could have died) by a semi truck. I pull over and messaged ******** the dealership service department about the issue. I bring the car next day, cars stay a week in the shop. Services say the issue is fix. I drive the car again on a road trip, and the same issue occurred, the engine shuts off while driving in the highway, almost causing another fatal crash, luckily nothing happened. It happened multiple times while driving and all Im asking is to break my contract from Elite Mitsubishi. Very unethical organization. I contacted the attorney general as well to help a retired veteran from bad businesses like Elite Mitsubishi.

When I had purchased my vehicle back in May I was told by the finance person (******, he no longer works there) that I had to have ******, Catalytic Converter, and Premier Paint before leaving with no extra charge, it was included. When I spoke with my lean holder they broke everything down. I was given false information from both my salesperson (*****, he no longer works there either) and finance person about my interest rate to the hidden fees that they added and told me not to worry about. Ever since then I called Elite Mitsubishi and asked the new finance person (*****) that I wanted a refund on the Lojack, Catalytic Converter, and Premier Paint he said that would not be a problem. I had made sure of it twice before making the drive out there because I am from CT. Fast forward when I arrived to NY I was told that that the only refund I can get is the extended warranty (until this day 10/22/23 my lean holder has not gotten any refund back). I have been calling every other day. They also said I could not get Lojack, Catalytic Converter or Premier Paint taken off after being told over the phone that I could. All I want is a refund on the stuff listed above and then extended warranty as well.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2020 Range Rover Sport SVR on 5/26/23 which was in need of some repairs to include damage to the rear driver door, rear passenger door. driver side door and hood. I was told they would take care of the repairs but they never did after months and months of calling and even driving back there from ******** were I reside. I gave copies of the paper work and photos were taken but no repairs were ever completed. I paid for the repairs and am seeking re-embursement for the repairs along with cost of tolls and gas in the total amount of ********.Customer response

The dealer is refusing to refund GAP insurance which I do not want. The dealer is claiming that in ******** you have no right to cancel this type of insurance. They are not responding to my calls. I believe there is a cancellation period here. Looks like they do not want me to know because they did not give me any documentation for the $5,000 GAP insurance they took.Thank you for your help,Customer response

On 06/01/20233 i went to Elite Mitsubishi and left a deposit os $500.00 towars a vehicle . I didnt sign any contract . Few hours later i've called them and told them that i was no longer interested in the deal , because they were charging me for some fees , like designation fee on a used car for example , so i've requested a refund . today is 06/11/2023 and i still haven't received .Business response

Unfortunately, the Salesman that was dealing with ************************ was recently terminated. We were not informed by him that the customer requested a refund and as a result the refund was no processed. We have since then spoken to ************************, apologized and explained the situation. We have processed his refund.Customer response
