I have been a client since 2012, bringing in my 3 dogs to this clinic, and its affiliated clinic in Bayside as well.Recently, one of my dogs got surgery from Dr ******** Dr ******* told me that my dog can come home in a few days to recover at home and that the surgery went very well. However, the next day, my dog was paralyzed and placed in an oxygen tank. During this agonizing time, Dr ******* became absent. It was clear that he didnt want to see me or talk to me about my dogs condition. Whenever I tried gaining clarity on my dogs condition, all I got were conflicting narratives from other CVA doctors who didnt want to inform me since they didnt perform the surgery. To make things worse, I felt as though the doctors quickly dismissed my concerns and questions, possibly due to my race and my limited English proficiency. When I asked follow-up questions about my dogs condition out of worry, another doctor unprofessionally shouted at me. My questions were met with indifference and even hostility throughout my dog's stay.I constantly had to fight for the privilege to visit my dog, even if it was just for a 5 minute visit. If I didn't fight for every precious second I could spend with my dog, I probably wouldnt have been able to see her at all. When I wanted to bring her home to a familiar and comforting environment, the veterinary staff wouldn't let me do so. Finally, on the day that I was supposed to be able to take my dog home, another doctor told us that we had to instead euthanize our dog. Earlier that day, we got an OK to bring my dog home. When we got there to pick her up, her body was cold and she was dying. The doctors had no idea she was in that condition. I wanted to provide a peaceful and loving environment for my dog's last moments so I refused their decision to put her down on the spot and brought her home.

Do not bring your animal to this hospital. do not let the convenience fool you. They are unprofessional their staff has no idea what they're doing. I don't know if there licenses are even real. They performed 2 surgeries on my dog. The second surgery was only needed, because the first surgery failed in a matter of two weeks. My dog was under anesthesia twice in a matter of a week - that didn't matter to them - money is no option, so this is not about the money. This is about the care that my animal received. He is still suffering from the situation that brought ** there in the first place now I will have to bring him to a new vet, hopefully I will find a vet that could take care of him the way he should've been taken care of in the first place- do not go to this vet !

It was made very clear to ****************** that the sutures may fail due to the location of the laceration. Clearly this is not the outcome that we had hoped for. Unlike human patients - canine patients, especially those that are very active can be difficult to keep calm at home. We wish "****" nothing but the best.

I agree with ***** *, and after being at this place I can 100% see a situation like that happening. They took my dog in for a biopsy I didn't feel good about. I warned that there is a certain way to hold my dog because he has problems. they totally disregarded my concerns and just picked him up in any form ( hurting my dog). After the biopsy Oreo died. On my way to pick him up they didn't tell me he died they just lead me into the room to see his "dead" body for my self. I couldn't tell if he was paralyzed or dead and they never gave me any clear answers if he was dead. They always beat around the blush and no answer was clear.I tried listening to his heart beat , feeling for his breath. His body was in terrible condition. The day I dropped him off there he looked nothing like that, with in a few hours, he's blue, bruised, ect. ( i dont want to get too graphic on a review.) To this day I know they did something to cause his death because they said " if he was home he would of died 3 months from now" . So why did he die today? What did they do to him? I asked these questions and they never clearly told me he was dead just beat around the **** with things like " well he's frozen" from keeping him in a freezer and " i'm sorry for your loss" If your dog is resisting going to a place , sometimes you really need to listen to them. They can pick up on things we can't and its important to read reviews and do research before trusting them with a hospital. Not all hospitals are good.

I personally did not want to put a star. This place showed no empathy at all towards my dog and myself. I felt like I was just a dollar sign to these people. I would not recommend this facility to anyone! The receptionist hit my dog with the door and didn't even apologize, and I was there because I thought my 8 pound toy poodle broke his leg and this is the way I was treated. I cried my eyes out, no one deserves to be treated this way at all! Especially with a family pet.
