My fiancée, *****, purchased a custom wedding dress from Bridals by D, and we encountered numerous issues, both with the quality of the dress and delays in its delivery. The dress arrived late and did not meet the promised specifications, including using glue instead of stitching, incorrect alterations (armholes replaced by a strap), and poor overall craftsmanship. Due to these issues, ***** was unable to wear the dress because it was unwearable, and she had to wear a friend’s old dress for the wedding. We reached out to Bridals by D several times and received a few responses, including an offer to sell the dress after the wedding and issue a refund. However, this solution is too uncertain, as there is no guarantee when or if the dress will sell. In response, I clarified that we are seeking a full refund for the dress due to its unwearable condition and the failure to meet the promised specifications. Despite multiple follow-up emails, we have not received any further response from Bridals by D. We are filing this complaint with the BBB to seek resolution. We are requesting a full refund for the dress due to its poor quality and unwearable condition. We hope to resolve this matter promptly and fairly.Business response

Dear Sirs, On May 14 2024 ***** ****** ordered a wedding dress from my bridal salon. She requested changes to a sample dress including the following (as per contract above) Make strap 3/4 inch wide in the shape of style **** Eliminate the glitter fabric in skirt. We ordered 1 yard of lace and 1 yard of tulle for her chosen seamstress to make a sleeve. The dress was DHL'd on 8/9/24 at Bridals by D's expense. $350.00 When the dress arrived ***** was called but did not pick up the dress right until a few days after. ***** did state to me she had another dress she ordered on line that she liked better. As it is a special order in her size, specs and length she was made to take the dress. When she took it to her seamstress I started to get complaints from her fiance"(not from the bride). I believe at this point ***** was set on wearing the other dress. Knowing ***** had another dress I offered to sell the dress from my salon for them as it would have been unworn. ******** refused and wanted a financial resloution. To be clear my contract is not with ******** and i do not refund special orders. I suppled them with what they ordered in a timely fashion. I even absorbed the *** shipping feeThe fact she ordered another dress online and liked it better is patently unfair to expect a refund. I have been in this industry for 40 years and my ratings speak for themselves..
