    Spent $1200 here on a Herman’s tortoise and frog with terrarium/aquariums, respectively, and wanted to exchange the frog/aquarium worth $350 for another tortoise- a second tortoise for $450 and I’d pay difference. This request was asked within 24 hours of the purchase, receipt, packaging in hand. The receipt and sign on desk, clearly, stated no refunds on live, breathing animals/reptiles/amphibians and that is the only stated return policy which was being adhered to (frog came free w $350 aquarium). Sara the manager started with how she couldn’t do anything at all for me bc, even though I had the packaging and receipt, the packaging had been removed. She, then, called back and said the only thing she could do was offer a second Herman’s tortoise at “price” which would be $250 instead of $450. I explained to her that would be ok but I, still, could not understand how any other pet store would honor this exchange (which it would). She stated “well I can’t sell it now you unwrapped it so I lose money.” This customer explained that she would feel more important and valued if good customer service was honored. Sara explained she was irritated and, then, took back the offer on selling a second tortoise to this customer “at cost” to try to mediate this situation. Sara made me feel problematic, unimportant, bothersome, and then renigg’d her entire deal bc Sara was “irritated” with this customers request. At the end of the conversation when this customer asked when the tortoise would be in to purchase “at cost” Sara stated, “we’re not doing business together anymore” and, abruptly ended the conversation. In my 44 years of living I have never been treated so unimportant and rudely… not to mention made to feel like I was “irritating” because of my attempt to do an exchange and give the business $100 more when it was all said and done. Do not buy anything from here as this place is deceitful and will not honor any sort of refund or exchange after they take your money.
