Last year we were paying 1224 for rent when our lease was up they gave us a 1599 new lease agreement we did not sign due to our house being built they said we could do month to month Jan rent was 1726 plus 150 for month to month they never told us about “market value “they lied saying they did!!..our rent is now 2,027 an 800$ increase!!!..this should be illegal how can they increase rent by $800 dollars in one occurrence!!!…they will not reason will not respond…we have been here for 5 years !!..unacceptable!!..this company is greedy and money hungry no way this is market value!!Business response

I certainly can understand your frustration in this situation. Unfortunately there has been a significant jump in market rents we must treat all residents and prospects in the same manner.
The rents and month to month terms are the same as we are quoting to others. I understand the house situation, but if you were to sign a 12 month lease, we could reduce the rent and remove the month to month fee.
The month to month provision is stated in both your expiring lease as well as the renewal we sent to you with the current market rate and month to month fee.
I am sorry but there is nothing we can do to help with this situation at this time.
