    I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience at Staffords Jewelers. In early May, I accompanied my son to purchase an engagement ring, and our experience with the sales associate, Ashley Stafford, was unpleasant from the start. She was curt and sarcastic during our initial visit, which I initially chose to overlook. However, the situation worsened significantly. Just 2 weeks after my son proposed, and less than a month after purchasing the ring, two prongs fell off, causing the diamond to fall out. When I returned to the store to inquire about any warranty or guarantee, Ashley informed me that there was none and that we would need a quote for the repair. She mentioned we should have purchased insurance at the time of sale but admitted she hadn’t mentioned it because she perceived us as trying to save money. Expressing my disappointment that a ring worn for only two weeks would need such repairs, I was met with more sarcasm from Ashley. She compared our situation to wrecking a new car, insinuating that we were at fault. Despite my frustration, I remained polite but shared my deep disappointment in her customer service & requested to work with someone else upon the return to pick up the ring. To my utter shock, two men, one of whom I assumed was the owner, suddenly and forcefully confronted me. He aggressively told me to "GET THE **** out of my store" and accused me of mistreating his “daughter”, Ashley. I started recording him from my phone and asked him to repeat what he said, which he refused and sarcastly said "mam, just leave" So I just walked out As someone who values great customer service and works in sales, this experience was profoundly disturbing, disappointing, and shocking. Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I have since taken the ring to 2 repair shops to find out it was a manufacturing error. The gold has porosity from being over heated and so the gold is brittle so I am told it can't even be repaired.

    Dear Joyce Rentz, Your son's engagement ring left our store in perfect condition. We have photos to prove this fact and pictures of the condition of the damaged ring when you brought it in. Two prongs holding the Diamond in the engagement ring had been hit with such force that the diamond came out of the mounting. It did not leave the store in this condition, but you falsely and rudely claimed it was a manufacturing defect. We were more than willing to fix the damage, but there would be a charge for the repair. That was the issue. You rudely demanded that it be fixed for free, scolding my daughter, who was waiting on you, with your foul mouth and entitled “Karen attitude.” Every story has two sides; you know nothing about what really happened when your son’s girlfriend damaged this ring. Why you feel the need to interject your false opinion with this fake review, trying to harm our family business, proves why you were asked to leave, and trespass from our store, and the police were called about your behavior. Note: It is also why the police were here when your son came to pick up the ring after we received two Threatening phone calls from him. It seems your son thinks he can also treat people with the same bullying attitude as his mother. When you came in and verbally abused my daughter, who was trying to help you, talking like a sailor, we had no option but to politely ask you to leave the store and trespass you from ever coming back, and why the police were called. Your version of events is mere fantasy, intended to cover up a mother and son’s unacceptable and vile behavior. No customer has the right to act or treat anyone in retail the way you did with your entitled, self-important attitude, thinking that bullying someone will help you get your way. Shame on you and your son for supporting your bullying behavior. Someone who boasts about being a Christian woman and brags about being a Mary Kay, pink Cadillac driving director should know better and act more professionally.
