I am an archer in Ohio and have gone to a proshop in Marysville Ohio. I have a few emails I’d like to share with you that detail everything that has happened to me by this pro shop. Back in 2021 around November and or December I started getting my arrows cut. I had just started getting into archery and my draw length as determined by the bow store I bought from told me my draw length was 30. With the dloop this puts the setting at 28 1/2 or so. I asked for my arrows from the pro shop to be cut to thirty inches. They shorted them by like 2 or 2 1/2 inches. This made my quiver of arrows very uneven from what I had as my initial setup. And a setup is very very important to form and consistency in the sport. I even got my bow tuned back around that time. When I complained of the arrows being cut short they ran me excuses as to why it was better for me. I do not believe this to be accurate as I’m actually not shooting near Ibo any differently than when I shot with my 30s. Which they said would. I allowed them to even this out by shortening all arrows I had just so I could move forward. I even removed negative review on google for them because I had believed them and have since just been shooting with less than what I requested and have cut all arrows to this since. It’s been a bit of a pain for me not getting what I asked for. But I accepted it.
Well come this past month around April 2-8 sometime I dropped my bow off to them and asked for strings to be built. I specifically asked for all electric blue no stripes and clear servings.I even asked for them to put speed nocks on. I get an email saying come pick up your bow around may 12. Coool. I go in they have no speednocks and black servings. Nothing custom at all and they also didn’t have any speednocks on. The only thing they did right was put electric blue strings only.even the servings where not of proper length for cams and they didn’t serve roller guard section yet my bow had roller guard. So I asked them where the speednocks we’re why my servings weren’t clear. He says I can throw some on. And he slaps two on the bottom of each cam servings. Did nothing to test them or add any more by using a chronograph which is proper way to ensure proper placement etc. well I take the bow home with these on it and I start shooting. Their strings come with tuning when you purchase custom. I paid about 244 to 250 for this. Sure enough the lack of roller guard servings caused strings to wear and I found my cams untimed a bow can not be tuned with cams untimed. So I emailed them about it and they tell me ok ***** were going to get things right. They said they’d start with building new strings served with clear servings etc. I bring my bow in to show them the cam untimed and they lied to me explaining that my speed nocks are why the cams are untimed and started adding more speednocks to the top cams servings and showing it shoot through paper. Well because the serving lengths weren’t done right this left him only above the two on it to add to and he placed quite a bit. I see him shooting through paper and he shows me a bullet hole. This is not accurate. Any ways I go back a few days later to pick up the bow and told them just build the strings right this time and I’ll put them on myself as most archers sometimes do. Turns out because he added those they hit my cams and the tuning over the speednocks got ate at and now my cams are damaged from them just slapping more on instead of again proper placement and chronographing. They didn’t even add any the bottom so I know this is not professional service. It’s crazy. They actually let me leave the shop with a bow with things they do wrong and cause damage to a bow I spent 600 and well over 1000s of dollars on now. Any who the cams are irrepairable and I have sent them an email about this. They even went as far as to tell me the reason they didn’t have speednocks on when I first arrived was cause they didn’t have a bear Legit to go off of. And that they served incorrectly to leave more blue visible. If they had served correctly with clear they wouldn’t have had to serve less thus only leaving enough room to add such speednocks in a way that has lead to the cams being hit. Once again revealing that they just don’t know what their doing and if they hadn’t put one to many my bow would still be undamaged and if they did their jobs right and actually tested while adding and or placing them on and using a chronograph and actually had served correctly this would have not happened.
