I have a 2019 Kia Sportage and its engine blew at just over 100,000 miles in mid-July. The engine was covered and Ganley was going to replace it. It took 7 weeks! They wouldn't supply a loner for the 7 weeks or even one day. We finally picked up the car and drove it for one day before it died again. Towed, again to Ganley Mentor and they said it needed a high-pressure fuel pump, $1030.00 to replace. The part cost just over $100. at the Auto Parts Store. The part worked but the car still won't start. The car isn't generating any spark. It's an electrical problem. The car had no electrical problems before the engine install. It's the end of October and the car still won't start or run. Obviously, we don't have a reliable, running car and won't take it back to Menor Ganley, ever. The service people were very rude and unhelpful, and the store manager Shawn, got in our face one day when we demanded they fix the car and give us a loner and they called the Mentor Police on us. Overall, a terrible, unresolved costly experience for a car that had a lifetime engine replacement warranty. Kia and Ganley Mentor Kia can't be trusted to honor the Kia warranty and do a professional service job or even treat their customers with respect!Review from Dana S

I went in with my girlfriend to buy a car here. Terrible service. She was told she was signing up for the Kia electrical package at signing. We found out this is not through Kia and she had to drive an hour and a half to cancel. She asked for a copy of the cancellation paper, which they were not going to give her. Now over 5 months later we find they never submitted the signed cancellation anywhere. Trying to get it cancelled and sending photos of the document for over 2 weeks now and she has just received one text. This is ongoing and is still not handled. I will never purchase from them again and request others do not. I have never been treated so poorly.Review from Siamak S

I wish I had seen their review on BBB before purchasing my car from them. I purchased a 2022 used Hyundai from them recently, and they said they inspect their cars before selling all of their cars. So far I have found three issues with the car: The windshield water dispenser was broken, the passenger inside vanity mirror vase shattered, and the tire air pressure was very low when they sold it to me (which I learned about later). I found the issue with the windshield water dispenser when I wanted to get the sticker for the PA inspection which failed due to this safety issue. When I called them, they mentioned they only do the safety inspection, and they refused to accept that the windshield water dispenser check is part of the safety check! Based on this I asked them to send me all the items that they checked for inspection so I would know what else I can expect to go wrong on this car, and they mentioned they would send the list soon, and here I'm after 3 months without receiving any information from them! Obviously, regarding the vanity mirror, they just said this was not a safety issue and this is a used car (even though I bought a 2022 car in 2023!) The third issue with the tire pressure was that all of the tires had less than 30 PSI pressure when the car was given to me. Considering they had done the inspection, I drove that car from OH to PA (my home) and I realized the tire pressure light was lighting up. So I went and added more air into all tires to get it to the 30 PSI, thinking that the normal is 30 PSI for this car. When still got the same error for the tire air pressure, I realized the air pressure should be 35 PSI for all tires! I'm really happy that I could get home safely from OH to PA while driving on the highway with low tire pressure. Not a professional dealership although they claim they are!Review from Josh K

Matt r, went above and beyond to help me get into one of my dream cars. I never thought I would be able to get out the door with the keys for what I’m paying per month. When they say they have the deals they mean it! Best experience I’ve had at a dealership by far.Review from Jerry B

Good Afternoon Jerry.
The Vehicle had a safety inspection performed on it in Which we replaced the Drivers Front ABS Sensor, replaced the Passenger Front Wheel Bearing. The front brakes were both at 7mm while the rear brakes were at 5mm- more than half life. Due to the vehicle age with it being a 2008 the vehicle does not get a full reconditioning but a safety inspection in which any safety issues that vehicle might have would be addressed, those issues were handled with your vehicle. Your title was mailed out on 1/5. If you have any other further questions please feel free to contact us. Thanks.

What can I say? Ben and the team went to great lengths to give me the experience I was looking for. A little background. I am an avid auto enthusiast and work in the auto industry so my expectations for customer service are very high. I drove 850 miles round trip from PA to look at and purchase a used vehicle. From start to finish, Ben, Marty and all the fellow staff stepped up to help make my experience seem less and easy. After having the car for a few days, a concern came up and without hesitation, Ben stepped in and made it more than right for me. What else can I say? Next time in I’m Ohio, I’ll be sure to stop by and look for another vehicle to add to our family. The experience alone should make you stop by to take a look at inventory. In the day and age we are in today, it is tough to find a dealership that you can trust and I can honestly say I trust them with my vehicle and finances. Thank you again to everyone who made my dream purchase the best experience I could ask for and thank you for giving me a lasting memory of my vehicle purchase. Customer Service in NIL ! They had my car for warranty repairs for over two weeks and NEVER called me to give me an update or offer me a rental. One of the 4 or 5 times I called they told me they received the wrong part; didn't say their error or whose error. Again never called me to tell me another delay. Car was dirty when I picked it up. When I called I was told they only wash cars when the car is in for service - My reply "Isn't having it for over two weeks Service?" She was going to check if car wash was working and call me back - that was two months ago and I'm still waiting for the call back. Also when I first called they gave me a phone number to call to have it towed to the dealership. Found out I could not get it towed because mileage was over 60,000. No mention of this and problem AND it was under Warranty; would think they customer service would have it towed. Again poor customer service. Next car I buy will not be from Ganley; may not even be a Kia even though we like our Kia cars. Didn't have this problem when it was Mentor KiaKen Ganley Kia Mentor Response

Horrible service department. They should not be in business. Very unprofessional, no customer service. The service director and service manager should not hold those titles. First had my car in April 2023, was there for over 3 weeks. They couldn't find issue, possibly engine so they installed a new starter. Service manager lied about doing engine tork test, which was never done. Two weeks later May 6th, picked up my car had to have it towed again to dealership. Finally did engine test after we had to personally go in to get answers because no one responds to calls. Was told on May 16th new engine came in and will be completed mid June. That time came and went. After going back in to dealership was told by service Manager car will be done last week of June. Needless to say that didn't happen. On July 14th by chance reached the service manager, he stated car scheduled for repair on Monday, July 17th, never happened. On July 26th, service tech stated hopefully car will go in for engine repair on this day, July 26th and can be done in a week or two. Dealing with this dealership and all the employees of the service department has been so frustrating and unexceptable for the length of time and the ridiculous run around and lies.Review from Bill H

Absolute crooks. Confusing sales tactics. I focused on price of car and my trade in value. They “gave me”what i expected but then played games with the amount and number of payments. Will NEVER do business wit Ganley againReview from AR J

I was really excite because it was my first car purchase. However, when trying to contact my salesperson "G" regarding issues he completely ignored all of my texts and phone calls. Then, there were issues with the car that were required to be fixed before Capital One would finance the car which is reasonable. Well, the unreachable sales guy called me about this with the Finance Manager Marlee G***** who had the audacity to yell at me, literally yell "I need you to call them! I need you to call them and tell them that the car is okay," even though it was not at the time. So, we took the car in to be looked at. The first time it wasn't looked at due to timing and lack of staff. The second time the Service Manager Svet was very nice and helpful. Until... he tried to hold on to the keys of the car until I called the Finance company which I was going to do anyway. So, I called them there and told them again that the car was in my possession. Capital One then asked me to call them back when I was not at the dealership probably because they knew what kind of people they were. When I asked Marlee to speak to the rep about a question they had she took a huge step away from me as if she were afraid of me or something really weird?? I'm not sure what her problem was but no one was thinking about her at all. I just wanted my car fixed. They were trying to sell me a lemon and make off with my down payment. Does anyone smell a scam? Watch out for them, they're rude and only respond to you when they haven't received their payment from the bank yet. But the Service Station was nice, that's the only department.
