On March 14th and March 18th, 2016 Better Business Bureau sent correspondence to My Tub Guy / Randy Kennon LLC regarding the company's advertising. The company's website advertising contained two advertising claims on March 12, 2016 that possibly violate BBB's Code of Advertising (COA). Specifically, BBB found the business's advertising possibly violated the following BBB Code of Advertising guidelines:

BBB challenged these objective superlative claims: "most experienced in the state"; "certified to work on more brands than any other company"
These superlative statements, like other advertising claims, are objective (factual) or subjective (puffery): a) objective claims relate to tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service which can be measured against accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims can be proved or disproved and the advertiser should possess substantiation. b) subjective claims are expressions of opinion or personal evaluation of the intangible qualities of a product or service. Subjective superlatives which tend to mislead should be avoided.
BBB's Code of Advertising states, "The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertisers. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any claims or offers made before publication or broadcast, and upon request, present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or Better Business Bureau." BBB requested substantiation for the claims, but the business failed to respond to BBB's requests.
