I took this shop a assembled 350 short block and asked to have it rebuilt. I requested to reuse the pistons, rods, crank and cam if they could just be reconditioned to be used again. I was informed my engine could in fact could be rebuilt with new rings and bearings and my existing parts. I picked up my engine (assembled short block) on 4/1/22 and was very disappointing to find quite of bit of metal debris in the assembled short block. I returned with the engine 4/4/22 and informed **** that there was metal in the engine. Marks shop took the engine back in and he confirmed there was debris in the engine. **** claimed this was shaving from a cam bearing. Why? Why were there any metal debris in my fresh engine. This could have destroyed the engine if I installed and ran it. **** said he would disassemble the engine clean it and have it reassembled.I received my short block back again Friday with more metal debris in it! **** said he did the work himself the second time and as soon as I opened the bottom end I see metal shaving in the piston! It appears not even the owner can assure you his work is good anymore! I called and asked for a refund as I will have to take this else where now and have them redo it so I have some type of piece of mind. Almost 3 hours of my time (doing mechanic work that's 80$ and hour) and 100 miles (total) to drive this engine back and pick it up again do to the lack of workmanship and all he offers was a sorry for the inconvenience and an engine still with metal debris. I am now fighting this with my credit card company because **** will not refund me for his mistakes. I'm highly disappointed, this man is a racing champion and record holder.
