We initially made our reservation with Budget through ************************* for a total cost of $1,125.04. There was an estimated vehicle taxes and fees stated that would be due at pick-up of $373.43. Our reservation number was #*******, and the vendor reference number was #********US2. It was for a Mini-Van to be picked up at **************************** on 7/13/24 and returned to ********************** on 7/22/24. Our rental agreement number was U767552321. We had no problems with obtaining the rental, and we returned the vehicle as planned. When we returned the vehicle, the Budget employee advised us to leave the keys in the car and directed us to the terminal. We did not receive a receipt at that time, and we expected one to be emailed to us. After arriving home, we received a fraud alert on our credit card because Budget was charging us again. We called them and discussed the situation. We ultimately received a receipt for a return of the vehicle in LA on August 2nd. We spoke with Budget again (Case number ********). We submitted multiple receipts and proof of our trip as directed. We did ultimately receive back 5 separate refunds from the company. We asked for a new receipt to confirm that all charges were now accurate, but the new receipt still had the return date of August 2nd in **, and the total charged did not match the total that we had paid. We tried to clarify this with the company and asked to speak to a supervisor twice. We were told that a supervisor would call us back, but we never received any phone calls either time. The difference between the most recent receipt ($1891.51) and what we have paid in total ($2039.76) is $148.25. Also, there is still a discrepancy of about $400 compared to the initial agreement that we are unclear of the reason for the difference.
