In March, I was working out of state on a deployment & as my work consists of primarily of desk work I opted for a pair of business casual all black men's cowboy boots from the Dingo Store via Amazon. On my second day of wearing the boots, I slid my chair away from desk & to my dismay, noticed that the heel on one of the boots was already beginning to separate. I immediately initiated a return & waited for that weekend when my wife came to visit to repackage the boots & sent it back with her so that she could ship the item off for me. A couple of weeks went by & I noticed I had not gotten a refund. I contacted Amazon & was told that the seller must first receive the returned item, ensure that the item is "correct" & THEN a refund will be issued. I accepted it, although it seemed quite odd that the item had not yet arrived back to the seller. Called my wife mildly irritated, & convinced that she'd neglected to return the item. Not so. The tracking number showed that the item was still in transit to the destination. {Sorry Honey??). Fast forward to May & a refund was issued in the amount of $128.40 not the $160.00 + tax which I paid. Immediately contacted Amazon & was transferred to a representative of the Dingo Store who informed me that the reduced reduced refund was due to a restocking fee. I did not accept this as I returned the item not because I no longer wanted it, but because it was defective. No restocking fee should apply. (I never received my refund in full. Fast forward to July and lo & behold, the Dingo Store again charged $160.00 to my debit card. I called again & again was transferred to the Dingo Store where I was kindly informed that I was again charged because I returned a pair of boots in horrible shape which is not what I was sent. To say that I was livid does not encompass the anger I felt at hearing this. This store is unscrupulous and does not mind taking advantage of customers. I am no thief,,,but the folks over at Dingo Store...apparently are.
