The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government's allegations, which have not yet been proven.

On October 7, 2024, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP) announced the filing of a lawsuit against this firm and its owner for allegedly violating the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law and the Pennsylvania Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act. The lawsuit accuses the parties of allegedly intentionally misleading consumers about insurance coverage or neglecting to send their claims that should have been covered, in part or in full, to their insurance providers. The lawsuit further states the parties allegedly advised consumers that their medical insurance would cover their chiropractic services; however, in many cases, they neglected to even file claims with the insurer or refused to submit necessary documentation required by the insurer to offer payment for services, leaving consumers with substantial invoices and threats with debt collection actions if they did not pay. The lawsuit also accuses the parties of allegedly encouraging consumers to file complaints with the BCP against the insurance companies, misleading them into believing the issues were the sole fault of the insurance providers.

The BCP seeks a permanent injunction against the defendants from continuing to engage in any deceptive or illegal business practices, civil penalties, full restitution, and investigation costs.
