Additional business information
Although anyone can be a target, individuals who may currently have an outstanding debt, may have had a past debt, or may have inquired about a loan may be contacted.
These so-called collection agencies do not abide by current state laws in their collection practices. The collection agents are difficult to speak to, usually will not send debt in writing to the consumer and in many cases, fraudulently pocket the debts if they are able to collect them, leaving the outstanding debt unpaid. Many times, if researched, the consumer finds that they never had an outstanding debt to begin with. Therefore, the consumer loses money.
