AG Heating Cooling and Plumbing represented themselves as a normal legitimate hvac contractor and removed a radiant system and installed a heating/cooling forced air system on my home at **** ****** ****** in the summer when it was unoccupied. Cooling performance was extremely bad on the third floor. They tried running an additional trunk line but the weather turned enough cooler we didn't get a sense whether it really worked. The follow-on suggestion was to increase the air pressure which would have voided manufacturer warrantees. That alerted me to trouble as did a pattern of unprofessionalism and a refusal to get the heat on (it never came on when first needed). This brought in ********* who couldn't work on the system because the wiring was unsafe, *** ********* ******** again to fix a pipe slanted the wrong way that'd filled with water. But they warned me about a ton of other problems in the system and said there was no guarantee they could ever do on it. The very largest was the complete absence of returns, only a grate in the basement but there were many more (absence of zoning, perforations of a constant rather than necked down trunkline, flexible tubing instead of rigid pinched like crazy, an a/c unit perched over a window) leading to me to call out the city's inspectors who issued a 4 part citation on October 26th. And not only did AG Plumbing not pull permits, or do the work to code, they have no license to perform the work in the city of Pittsburgh (they only have general contractor license, not electrical, plumbing or mechanical(heating/cooling)). Since they refuse to support their work and literally can't get it properly permitted themselves, their work is entirely without value. They also refuse to produce a contract, their invoicing doesn't match what I paid, but I have full evidence of what I paid them and when from my US Bank HELOC. They owe me, at minimum, 25,525 (more if this goes to court and I get into details of damages).
