AWFUL experience. They're dishonest and poorly run and don't care for their customers. I worked with ********************* and *****************************, and at first they seem pretty trustworthy, but then don't do anything they say they'll do. Dishonesty:- Lets start off with the name. They are NOT a Van ***** they are a broker. They send your contract out to a different company. Blue Diamond is the company that actually did my move (and they were a nightmare to work with)- I was told that stuff would be picked up on June 21 between 4-8pm. No one came in that time frame, and I called Magellan several times and no one picked up my call. I finally ended up getting a call from the driver that told me they'd be there the next day instead. - It was never in writing, but I was given a very strong verbal assurance that I would receive my stuff on July 2, if not that week. (I didn't get my stuff until August 2). Even though they've apparently worked with Blue Diamond before, they didn't know the time line for the move. - During the entire time I was waiting for my things, Magellan was 0 help. They told me "it's bullshit" that I haven't gotten my stuff yet, and that they would look into it, but would then never call me back. - Do NOT trust the estimate they give you. They terribly underestimate the amount of stuff you have, so definitely expect a price increase after having your stuff loaded. My initial price was ~2k, I had an upcharge of ~$500 from their initial estimate. On top of that, when the movers came to drop off my stuff, they had a $300 "Elevator Fee". Which is ridiculous. - They had a billing issue and over charged me. I called *** several times and she said she'd look into it, but never did anything to fix it, so it's just more money I lost in this move. Overall, terrible experience and so stressful. I would NOT recommend. Positives: I eventually did get most (not all) of my things, and only some of it was damaged. So at least it wasn't a total scam.
