This is a delivery company that does not deliver, we have purchased washer and dryer in the early june 2022 from **** ***** with delivery date scheduled on June 26, after I got rid of my existing washer and dryer I took day off work to wait for delivery, no phone call, no delivery, they reschedule in on Saturday following week, my wife stayed home while the rest of the family went camping, It was that important we are family of six and we took 3 Ukrainian refugees teenagers for summer, so our laundry piles up pretty fast. That Saturday no show again, **** ***** is aware of this, long story short it’s July 30, Saturday I am up from 6:30am waiting for my washer and dryer scheduled delivery for the six’s time that they scheduled delivery, and I just got a message from them that they have issues with truck. ( so 6 failed scheduled delivery, and over 1.5 month living with no washer and dryer that has been our worst experience.) UST service should not be hired by big retailers, personally I will never order anything from **** ***** that requires delivery, and if you don’t want to have nightmares like we do , I would not recommend for anyone either. We still have no washer and Dryer and they are going to reschedule for seventh time and probably come up with another lame excuse, company’s like UST should not be allowed to do BuissnessBusiness response

Purchased a GE Refridgerator on 3/19 from *** **** *****. We were given a delivery date of Saturday, June 11, 2022. The day before delivery (Friday 6/10) we were given a time frame of 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm on Saturday night for delivery. The delivery was never made (by UST) nor did we get any text, phone call or email to notify us of any delays, etc. Late Saturday night we got a random text saying "your delivery is number 18 on the truck", so we figured it would probably be delivered Sunday, June 12th. Sunday came and went, no delivery, no notifications. We tried calling GE, *** **** ***** and the tracking service and was unable to speak to anyone outside of business hours. Today, Monday June 13th, I started making phone calls at 8am to GE, HD, etc. and didn't get a real live person until about 10 calls in, and that was at the local Home Depot we purchased the product. The manager gave me the local UST office phone number and said to talk to Dixie (at the Boise, Idaho location) who's a supervisor and would be able to help. I called and Dixie answered, and I was immediately met with attitude. She would cut me off from speaking - as if she didn't have the time to listen to my concerns. She looked up the order and said she could reschedule a couple of weeks out, and obviously frustrated, I asked "If we were already supposed to be delivered to, why are we now being pushed out? you would think we would get priority delivery, we are now without a refrigerator, our food is probably going bad, and we missed 2 big events waiting for this delivery." Here are some of her responses and comments, all with an annoyed tone and attitude: "What don't you understand?" "We are over booked, I don't know what you want from me" "I didn't personally do this to you, do you get that?" "What do you want out of this?" "ok what day would YOU like this delivered - pick one but it won't happen"....I couldn't believe how rude she was when I was friendly the entire time.Business response

Dixie has moved on to other ventures and is no longer with us. UST logistical systems was contracted by ****'s to deliver flooring to our home. Their truck had to go over our 58' bridge over a river to get to our property. The truck driver didn't negotiate the turn from the bridge to the property properly and p****d down part of our bridge. We informed ****'s of the damage who referred us to "98 Ventures" an executive management company that UST Logistical systems work with and will handle the claim. They opened the claim and contacted us asking for pictures of the damage. We complied and they then offered us a pittance of $300 which is ridiculous and doesn't even begin to cover the current inflated high cost of lumber let alone any labor. After we refused that amount they put the onus on us to get estimates at our own time and expense. We sent 98 Ventures two itemized estimates from licensed contractors. The owner of the truck that did the damage was not responding to 98 Ventures so they opened a claim with his insurance company of **** **** Mutual. The adjuster contacted me asking for more information. Then the owner of the truck that did the damage told 98 Ventures he would fix our bridge himself. He trespassed on our property to take pictures. He refused to let the claim with his insurance company go through. After months of back and forth, we had no choice but to file a claim with our own homeowner's insurance. We are out of the $1k deductible and only got a portion of the money required to fix our bridge. 98 Ventures closed the claim. Our bridge is still damaged, we received no remuneration from UST Losticis, the driver's insurance company or 98 Ventures. We only received money from our own insurance company and it still isn't enough to repair the damage and it was less a $1k deductible. This seems to be their common practice of business based on the other complaints.Business response

At this time, the claim is closed pending a subrogation letter from the claimant’s homeowner’s insurance company, Progressive. Upon receipt of the subrogation letter, the claim will be reopened and steps to resolve the claim will be immediately initiated.The claims specialist that investigated the claim actively communicated with the claimant and delivery team for statements and a proper resolution. The delivery team did not deny causing damage to a small section of the bridge as evidenced by the pictures that were submitted by the claimant.
Since the claim is pending a subrogation letter from the claimant’s homeowner’s insurance company and the claims specialist is still working very closely with the customer and the delivery contractor to assist with the claim, if the customer has any further questions or concerns, she can contact our claims department at 864.******** for further assistance and request to speak with Grady for further assistance.

***** *********We complied with all of 98 Ventures requests to get estimates even though we were the victims. We sent pics, video, estimates etc. This went on for months and 98 Ventures allowed the driver who did the damage to continue to refuse to file a claim with his insurance. 98 Ventures is not an insurance company. We had no choice but to file a claim with our own insurance company since 98 Ventures refused to file a claim with their client's insurance company. This is unacceptable. I am in the process of getting the subrogation letter. Based on all of the complaints and claims that I've read on the BBB site they are ripping people off and no one cares.

***** *********We still as of 3/15/22 have not received the $1,000 for our deductible. The litany of complaints on the BBB site are from homeowners including myself who received a pittance LOW BALL offer, have rejected it and then were put through so much back and forth, efforts and energy to get estimates from licensed contractors and then end up just giving up. I am fighting for them too. 98 Ventures entire business model is to LOW BALL offers to homeowners and then make it extremely difficult to get any more remuneration from them. We were offered a pittance of $300 for the damage to our bridge which wouldn't even cover the cost of buy more than 2 pieces of treated lumber in this current market of the highest inflation in 40 years. 98 Ventures is a scan and I will not stop until ****'s executives realize this and sever their contract with them.

UST mailed Ms. *********’s homeowner’s insurance company the full subrogation amount in addition to $1,000 to cover Ms. *********’s deductible. The check was mailed via FedEx to ******** ********* Insurance Corporation (***********) on Monday, March 14, 2022, and per the tracking number ************, the check was received and signed for by ** ****** on the same day (Monday, March 14, 2022, at 9:47 a.m.).Ms. ********* can reach out to her homeowner’s insurance regarding their estimated time of reimbursement.
At this time, the claim is considered solved and is closed.
Again, I am sorry for the experience Ms. ********* had with UST and any miscommunications on our part. We haven taken her comments into consideration and will strive to do better in the future.

On December 29, 2001 an outside delivery company attempted to deliver furniture from ***** **** Furniture. Being a good customer, I made a path for the movers, pushing my dining room table across the room, 6 {or more, but not less} inches away from the patio doors furniture was to be brought thru. The movers were having issues. I walked LITERALLY 10 feet away to grab a tape measurer when I hear the table move, the sound of glass, and 1 of the movers say "oh no". The movers got moving very quickly all of a sudden and were gone. I immediately went to move table back, and noticed table had been pushed thru the window. There was actually a chair between the table and wall, so it had to have been moved with some degree of force. Initially 98 Ventures wanted to cut me a check the next day. I said I did not want a check until I got estimates. I got 2 estimates and contacted the person handling my case, and was told because I moved the table, they were not liable and would not pay. Delivery date: November 12, 2021 Time: 7:30 pm Chief complaint: After 3 delivery attempts to my home, the third delivery team caused physical damage to property and product. Delivery team seemed rushed and unprofessional of how to remove and place product (refrigerator) in the house. They (3 men) struggled which resulted in the physical and cosmetic damages to our house. This is our third refrigerator which all of them were damaged since 10-18-2021. We not satisfied overall with the product and delivery service. They arrived without calling in advance to arrive late at night in the dark. Product was not inspected until it arrived in the house and installed. They tried to remove our storm door which was unsuccessful so however they took my wooden front door without asking for approval. Also the water value leaked all over the tile floors and was told just to get a bucket. The water value was turned to off but continued to leak. The delivery lead person told me that this was a hard delivery and don't want to return back for this delivery again. The lead person seemed tired and ready to finish for the night. Our $30.00 delivery fee has cause us a nightmare and damages. We're requesting a general contractor to asset and repair the damages to our home. 1-13-22 I received notice that they are not liability for the damage of my property. UST is the one accountable and liable for the damages. Representative had called and asked if I signed a waiver. The answer to the question was no. No one presented anything to signed nor was it mentioned to me. I'm stuck with damages to my property because of their fault. Videos and photos were submitted for their review and claim was still denied. Which is unacceptableBusiness response

Nov 11th 2021 I purchased an appliance from ** Store and included a charge of $210 for dishwasher delivery, installation and haul away of the old dishwasher. ** store contracts with a local delivery company in the region. This is a two step delivery. Initial delivery was scheduled for Nov 17th 2021. No delivery occurred. After calling ** Store delivery was rescheduled and the first step delivery occurred on Nov 30th. Verbal instructions from the delivery assistant was that a plumber would call me to schedule the second step of installation that night for installation the next day. No phone call from a plumber or UST Select employee has occurred. I have called ** Store many times during the month of December to have them work with the contracted local company for the second step installation. Each time I end those calls being told that I will receive a call and the second step will occur on a specific date. No calls have occurred and I’m still waiting on the second step. I have tried to have ** Store escalate to UST select management in order to get scheduled for installation. Today is Dec 16th 2021 and no calls or installations have occurred. I would like help getting UST Select to do the second step if installation and haul away to ensure the appliance is under warranty and follow the legal two step installation process ** Store has outlined as required. I purchased a refrigerator from ****** in Concord, NC on 8/12/21. The refrigerator was delivered by a 3rd party business called 98 Ventures/UST based in Greenville, SC. The delivery was made on 8/16/21. Upon delivery of the new refrigerator the flooring of my rental house was damaged. Since that time I have made endless attempts to correspond with ***** as well as 98 Ventures/UST. The current "claim lead" for damage claim *********** is Lacrisha H******* with 98 Ventures/UST. I have done my best to submit all information they have requested including pictures of the damage and a damage repair quote from my contractor. I have also accommodated their desire to have their preferred repair vendor take a look at the damage and they have yet to send someone out to look at the damage. There has simply been an unacceptable lack of communication and follow through with this claim and they continue to simply say that they are "making their best efforts." My floor has been damaged now for 3 months and I appear to be no closer to resolution than I was on 8/16/21. At this time I would have to strongly recommend against the usage of 98 Ventures for any service. As a brief aside, the crew from 98 ventures that delivered the refrigerator improperly installed the ice maker such that it did not work. I had to call out a repair service to properly hook up the ice maker. Please forward this message to your Greenville, SC office if possible.Business response

This claim is still under investigation. The claims specialist investigating the claim has been actively communicating with the customer in receiving estimates for his ******** and for a proper resolution to the claim.
The customer has provided us with a copy of an estimate in which he received from a vendor for $2,250.00. As the provided estimate came in higher than what is typical for the square footage and ******** type, we would like to receive a second estimate. We have confirmed with a reputable vendor in the area, ******** Clearance Center, that they will provide a free estimate for comparison purposes. ******** Clearance Center was scheduled to meet with the customer at his home yesterday, November 29, 2021. At this point in time, we are waiting to receive their estimate in order to move forward with resolving the claim.

Mr. ****** has accepted the offer and has signed the Settlement Agreement as of Tuesday, January 4, 2022. The final settlement check was mailed to the customer’s address on file.
The claim is now closed and considered satisfied.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. At this time, I have opted to accept their financial settlement and move on. However, I cannot say that my trust in 98 Ventures has been restored. My claim required a lengthy span of time (almost 5 months) and much of my personal time in order to come to any level of resolution. 98 Venture's communication was very fragmented and delayed and it just was not worth my pursuing further compensation. Frankly I could not recommend them for similar services with anyone. Thank you BBB for your assistance and we are proud to be a BBB business ourselves in NC.
