If zero stars could be given, that is what they would receive. Mark (the owner) was hired to build railings for my home. The finish he talked us into given its proposed longevity, was having all railings powder coated versus painted. A process we were told would last many years versus the cheaper painted option he also offered. Within a short time, several railings have peeled and rust within a couple short years. Then, after refinishing them once, again, another is completed covered in rust on every picket and all over the top that he re-did only a year prior. The owners claim that damp towels from my salt water pool were the cause is baseless and untrue. The truth is that they will try to upsell you on a finish that is poorly done and when it doesn't perform to the expectancy he tells you, he will blame the customer for being the cause of the shoddy workmanship. Do yourself a favor from a customer that has spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company already...find someone else!

I built these handrails for Mr *** 7 years ago. At that time, I built about 20 handrails for the front, back and side of his house. Five years later, Mr *** called me and told me the one of his handrails was rusting. I went to his house too look at it. I actually found 3 handrails that were rusting. I took a picture and sent it to him showing wet towels from the salt water pool draped and drying on the handrails. This was the cause of the rust and he understood and agreed. There is no paint or powder finish that can withstand the caustic characteristics of salt water. Since Mr *** had purchased soo much iron work from me over the years (incuding an iron driveway gate) I offered to remove the three rails and replace the bottom piece of steel on all three due to how pitted they were. Then have them sandblasted and re-powdercoated, then re-install them. Our agreement was that he would pay for the sandblasting and powdercoating since those services would be provided by another business. I would absorb the cost of my shop materials and labor. I offered this, not due to doing andything wrong, but just showing appreciation for all of the business he provided me over the years. He accepted and was satisfied with that agreement. That process took way longer than it should have, due to our heavy workload. Therefore once his handrails were installed, I told him that I would not charge him for the blasting and the powdercoating. Again, a good gesture that he was happy with. Approximately 15 months later he reached out via text complaining that one handrail was rusting. He was extremely accusatorial that I had provided him sub par materials. He started demanding that I fix the problem. The rail that is rusting is the rail that is closest to the pool and the rail that towels were hanging on 2 years prior. No other rail at his house is rusting like this. I told him that it is no doubt due to the saltwater. That is an opinion based off of seeing the destruction from the salt water two years prior and also from 22 years of iron fabrication experience. Mr *** does not want to accept any responsibility for his own actions. Therefore my generosity is no longer offered to him. He got extremely ugly when I told him that I would not be fixing it again for him. He threatened to ruin my company name with negative reviews and to take me to court. He is welcome to do what ever he wishes, as I will no longer have any communication with him.
