Epbfi stinks. New service software doesn’t work well. Complained several times, no communication, even after calls all the way up their chain of command. This loyal customer is canning their service, going with other streaming option. I’ve had it.

We got fined for not paying the bill on time. They didn't even send the bill and they have not even generated one I believe, because when I checked my account online there was no bill for that period. When I called the customer service, the agent was saying it was electric bill , not fiber..oh that person didn't even know that it was an internet bill looking at the account number. Very bad service. Only interested in getting the money. We were not told that we would be charged in advance for the internet. Very sneaky people.

I had EPB service for 2 apartments. Both times they sent a technician to pick up my old router and set up my new place, and both times about 2 months later they start calling and emailing me about how I haven't turned in the old equipment that their technician picked up and want $80 from me for missing equipment. Something strange going on here to juice people for more cash.

Avoid at all costs. Utilities for a 765 sq ft apartment were $250/month and fiber internet (that they throttle) was an additional $75. Their customer service is garbage, we asked them to change the account holder multiple times and they wouldn't do it. My name was listed on the account and I paid utilities for 4 years, yet they still refused to speak to me because I was not the original account holder. I asked for a breakdown of the charges and they couldn't even provide that. Without the $75m fiber investment, this company would've gone the way of the wooly mammoth. Extinct. Their internet, while somewhat fast, is not worth the headache of getting gouged on utilities. Thankfully I no longer live in Chattanooga!

I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house, and I work nights, it's no way, the electric bill could have been over 800 dollars, I told the lady, I didn't believe no one had read the meter because where I live, a fence connects two houses and the CV neighbor has pit bulls in the backyard and in order to read the meter, you have to come through the fence. That's when the customer representative admitted over the phone that the bill could be seen from there. And she told me , my rent folks need to fix the electricity, it's either that or it was read wrong from the place. It could be that their meters is not working right at the electric power board.

First of all let me just say, I wasn't present for the transaction. I sent a friend with cash to pay my electric bill. I told my friend that in return for paying my electric bill they could have the change leftover for themselves to pay for gas or whatever. They paid my electric bill and the next day they returned to me a receipt showing that it was paid. I thought that was the end of it. Then later on I noticed an odd transaction on my account. The transaction seemed to be putting in the same exact amount of the paid electric bill back onto my account as a sum owed. So naturally I thought it was some type of clerical error being made. I thought that in error, the EBP agent put the payment through my account as a bill. However upon investigation I was told by the agent who made the entries to my account that 'it was an unusually busy time at the EBP Hixson location and that there was no supervisor there so an error was made and instead of actually paying my bill and returning the correct change, they returned the wrong amount of change to my friend.' Now first of all, I was not there. So this became an exercise in trust. Second of all, I don't feel that it's my friend's responsibility to ensure that the EPB agents have proper supervision and proper skills in order to count money and to do their jobs correctly. Nor is it mine. I also was not there so being penalized by having to pay my bill twice because of EPB's staffing issues isn't reasonable. Now because it was cash that we're dealing with my friend said that they didn't count the change that was returned, so they are naturally they are unsure if what the EPB agent is saying is true. As it was cash and they eventually lost track of it so they don't know how much change was returned. I had to stop myself from pressing them because really they are correct. They do not work for EPB so it's not their responsibility to double check the work the EPB agents do. The question is whose responsibility is it?
