    If I could give 0 stars I would. When you hear about nightmare experiences with contractors, I am pretty sure they are talking about Mountain City Tile. They understated the start times for the job (4-6 weeks turned into 8-12), couldn't stay on schedule (supposed to be finished in 7-10 days and it's been over a month), and lied to us when they ordered the WRONG TILE. They refuse to let me actually see the sample in their shop, and are blaming the distributor/manufacturer but I find it hard to believe that the sample would have incorrect ordering information, or that I'm the first person to select this and have the wrong item show up. Anyone with working eyeballs can tell the tile they installed does not at all resemble the tile we chose, but instead of just admitting a mistake and working to correct it, they decided to gaslight me and say it was just variations due to natural stone. We went and found the exact tile we had picked for less than 1/2 of what they were charging us, so they were price gouging too. We ended up having to hire a different company to come out and repair the work they did, with the correct tile. My advice, find someone else and save yourself the trouble of working with them, it's not worth the cheaper quote they'll provide.

    I would like to respond to Ms. M****** claim. Mountain City Tile started the job and had plans to finish it before December 16, when they had family come in. The first day on the job, my employee fell off of a wall and broke his foot. My other crews were tied up on other jobs and as soon as possible we sent another crew over. Of course, by this time our timeline was shorter but still had time to finish by the deadline.. Once we got started again, the installer came down with the flu which cost several days. We could not start again until after their out of town visitors had left. As for the wrong tile, the material was ordered correctly and at the M******'s request was double checked several times. As explained to the M******'s our supplier communicated that it was correct because it was a natural stone and every run is slightly different. We kept insisting to our supplier and they have picked up the sample board yesterday to determine if there was truly a problem. The sample board that they state we refused to show them was checked out to another customer. We called that customer and requested that it be returned. As we are the only distributor in town for that product, the M******'s did not buy the exact same product for less. I would like to apologize to the M******s, as everything that could go wrong did go wrong. However at no time were they lied to or mislead.
