I was attempting to go through this busienss to have them host my mother's surprise birthday party. Right off the bat, after my stating my ideas, the sales associate tried to critique my idea and suggest that I implement hers as she claims she is the "professional" which rubbed me the wrong way "professional" or not, it is I who is paying for this event and I did not recall asking for the unsolicited advise. After I let the sales associate know that that was insulting to me to indicate her way was the best way because SHE deemed herself a "professional", I feel like the sales associate had a more of a snarky attitude thereafter. We went back and forth addressing my concerns. I do not like that this business has a list of demands, but as soon as you, the client/customer/person that is PAYING has a demand, they no longer want to deal with you. Because most of my guests are elderly and children, I told the sales associate since they'd be serving food (MY FOOD THAT I WAS PAYING FOR), that I requested that the servers wear masks, hairnets, disposable gloves and clean aprons. The sales associate at Rothchilds REFUSED to have their staff wear masks and for me to basically take my business elsewhere!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!! IT IS FUNNY THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM MAKING SURE THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE SAFE AND FEEL SAFE WHILE THEY ARE IN CONTACT WITH MY GUESTS!!! IF I AM GOING TO BE PAYING OVER 2 GRAND FOR A PARTY FOR 40 PEOPLE, I SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK THEM TO WEAR A MASK AROUND MY FAMILY AND I AND THAT SHOUD NOT BE A CAUSE FOR THEM TO WANT TO CEASE WORKING WITH. ME!!! THEY HAVE RULES AND REGULATIONS, YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE PAYING CUSTOMER SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE THEM TOO, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS TO PROTECT THEM AND THEIR GUESTS!!! I LOOK AT THIS BUSINESS IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT AND I THINK THAT THIS SHOULD MAKE PEOPLE WONDER WHY IT IS A PROBLEM WHEN A CLIENT WANTS THEIR HEALTH TO BE PROTECTED BUT ROTHCHILDS REFUSES TO OBLIGE!!!! THINK ABOUT THIS BEFORE CONSIDER BOOKING THERE!!!!!!
