    This estate sale owner is unprofessional and aggressive. Bags of clothes in my grandmother’s closet had been torn open for the sale and everything was left scattered on the ground afterwards. Odd items were labelled for sale, like expired Campbell soup cans and an open container of graham crackers. While cleaning up, I found a pizza left in the oven and cigarette butts on the front porch. From my understanding, a verbal agreement was made between Heather and my father that the home would be cleared out by the closing date, but the week of closing, the house was still filled with things that had sold, and junk that needed to be picked up. Because of this, and the general lack of communication from Heather, we feared we had no other option than to hire a junk removal team/moving services ourselves. On the day of the move, neighbors offered to store the sold items in their home for the customer’s who had paid for, but still needed to pick up their furniture. With this in mind, I reached out to Heather myself. I explained that the furniture needed to be moved out due to the closing date and that we had movers who could wrap the furniture and move it next door for pick up. Heather was irate and immediately started yelling at me. She did not understand that after the closing date, she wouldn’t have access to the house or the furniture. She told me that the buyer of the home had confirmed it was okay to leave the furniture. I asked her to get this in writing, but she continued to speak over me. It was later confirmed through our realtor that this was not true. Because of her irateness and unwillingness to work with us, we chose to go forward with losing more money in the sale to ensure the house was closed. We told Heather to refund the remaining customers. She then gave my father’s personal number to a (rightfully) upset customer. My father ended up driving to and paying this customer $200 for her trouble. This was a terrible experience for us in a time of grief.
