I am a proud Army Veteran Sergeant, a school teacher, a wife, and a mom who is enrolled to become a nurse. I have always been proud to serve others selflessly. *****************************, had done some work once before, about a year and a half ago. We live in a rural area, and it is difficult to find services. He advertises in town and does business as Pool Mechanic, he came to my home on the 27th of June 2023. He came to look at our swimming pool and to remove a heavy metal part left by his workers on my property from the prior visit. He looked at our system and then said that the pool pump was no good. He asked for a check to fix it in the amount of $2, 650.00 USD. I gave him the check in the hope our pool would be fixed by the Fourth of July holiday. He came back on the 29th of June 2023 to supposedly fix the pump. I had to run some errands, and I texted him to tell him so. When I came back he was just gone without telling me. I texted him to ask him what happened; had said he was going to Midland (a town about 40 minutes away) to get parts. He has never come back since then. I have texted him and called him to get updates, but he has just been stringing me along saying he hasn't been able to find parts. On the phone with me, he was even claiming supply chain issues. I did not believe that. I then asked for my money back because it was clear that he would not fix it and was just saying things to appease me. He keeps telling untruths saying he will get back to me, but never does. His way of dealing with me has been with horrible disrespect and disregard for our common humanity. This whole situation is unacceptable, especially for *******, ** a small rural town that seems to overall respect good citizens that serve our country and community.
