BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising.  These claims may come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints, and competitor challenges.  BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements. 

On January 3, 2022, BBB contacted the business regarding claimed results claims their supplements "help with appetite control, healthy metabolism, weight management, increased energy, healthy digestion, and a variety of other health issues" as well as other claimed results advertisements on their website https://justifiedlaboratories.com.

BBB also requested clarification regarding their "satisfaction guarantee."  Specifically, if they offer a full refund for any reason consumers are dissatisfied. The business also advertised "Premium Quality Guaranteed."  BBB Code of Advertising states when using the term "warranty" or "guarantee" in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to the sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser's website or, in the case of mail or telephone sales, made available free on written request.  BBB requested Justified Laboratories to modify their website to include the details of their guarantee.

Justified Laboratories also advertises they offer "Wholesale" options for their products.  

BBB Code of Advertising states the terms "wholesaler,” “wholesale outlet,” “distributor” and the like can be used where the advertiser actually owns and operates or directly and completely controls a wholesale or distribution facility which primarily sells products to retails for resale. BBB requested substantiation for this claim.

Justified Laboratories also advertises "Made in USA".

BBB Code of Advertising states: “Made in USA” and similar terms used to describe the origin of a product must be truthful and substantiated. An advertiser must not express or imply that a product or product line is exclusively “Made in USA” unless all or virtually all of the product is made in the U.S. All significant parts and processing that go into the product must be of U.S. origin.  That is, the product should contain no – or negligible – Foreign content.

BBB requested substantiation that Justified Laboratories products are entirely made in the USA or discontinue the term “Made in USA.”

Justified Laboratories also advertises "Certified Good Manufacturing Practice" and "FDA registered, cGMP Certified Laboratory."

BBB Code of Advertising states: The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser.  Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast.  Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.

BBB requested Justified Laboratories to substantiate the certifications and registrations by providing documentation of the claims or discontinuing the advertisements. 

As of October 11, 2024, the business failed to respond to BBB's requests.
