I went through iNet Financial to secure a loan with *** Bank for a new RV I purchased in ********** in late January 2024. I was assured that the Michigan Vehicle Registration Fees and Sales Tax were included in the loan. Upon return to ********, I did receive the title, however when I went to the Michigan Secretary of ************** to get my plate, I was informed that the taxes were paid; however, the registration was not to the tune of approximately $2800.00. Apparently iNet did not calculate the taxes correctly and the taxes were over by most of the money iNet sent and ******** issued a refund for the remainder ($approximately $800) back to iNet in early April 2024. I contacted iNet who assured me that they would resolve the issue as far as the taxes go (they asserted that Michigan made a mistake on the sales tax calculation), and all refunds were going to be sent to the *** Bank who financed the loan. After a few weeks, after hearing nothing back from iNet, I contact them via email asking for a status update and an accounting of how the money borrowed was actually disbursed and accounted for in an updated *****'s Order. As of today, May 22, 2024, the Michigan refund has to been credited to my loan with *** Bank and I have not received an accounting for how the money borrow was actually disbursed and accounted for. In addition, I have not been informed if the State of Michigan issued a second refund after the Sales Tax was correctly calculated. Lastly, the Title issued by the State of Michigan, arranged by iNet, incorrectly list iNet as the lien holder rather than *** Bank. As a result, I would never recommend iNet for an RV loan, or any other loan for that matter.
