It started out good with Tony. He came over promptly when we set an appointment with him to look at the issue we were facing with - which we thought was the foundation. We called him because some people spoke highly of him and his company which is supposedly a foundation repair company. They even came when we needed a quick fix to cover up issues when we were gonna have guests over. We appreciated that. But overall, I can’t say that we can speak highly of his work and integrity. We were initially quoted $3,300 for joist and subfloor (plywood) replacement. As a layman or regular consumer, if I called a foundation repair company, what I’m expecting them to do is repair/level foundation, even though there may be some materials that needed replacement. If we needed sub flooring fix, we would have not called him because quite frankly, for the work done and no REAL foundation repair done, $3,300 is overpriced. We also got an invoice for $4,000 instead of the $3,300 that we were quoted and what we agreed upon. He told us that it’s because they added a beam but it was not discussed and agreed upon. Reluctantly and with an attitude over a text, he agreed to remove the $700 he was trying to charge us additionally to the agreed upon quote. He also said that on the estimate, he never mentioned anything about leveling. But what then did we hire him for and why did he accept the job when it’s really just all about subflooring and its support and really no foundation work for $3,300. They are not even installing the laminate flooring for that price. After all is said and done, the flooring guy we hired came to install the flooring but quickly told us that the work wasn’t leveled and sloping. (We were out of town when work was being done.) Tony came to the property, did a video call, explained etc. Though that was a good gesture, I feel as though that if they’re not really going to do any real foundation work or leveling of any kind, that he should’ve referred me to someone else.
