We attended a meeting in Victoria, Texas, lured by the promise that this company could rescue us from the escalating maintenance fees tied to our timeshares after the Holiday Inn and Silverleaf merger. This company forced us to acquire another timeshare at Blue Tree Resorts. We were misled into believing that this would help our financial situation, but instead the staff promised us that we would have an easy exit after five years of ownership, which is not true. We have faced a sudden increase in maintenance fees, making it impossible for us to sustain our ownership. The flexibility in timeshare usage turned out to be false, and our supposed flexible week was instead a fixed week in September. This made it impossible for us to plan a vacation around our family's school commitments. Additionally, the tactics from the salespeople were aggressive. The meeting was supposed to be brief, but it lasted for three hours, and we felt pressured into making decisions. We have requested that the timeshare contract be cancelled, but have not heard back. We cannot pass on this financial burden to our children! This experience has put us in a difficult financial situation and has also shattered our trust.
